I love your content. I have been playing with your exact Charizard EX/Bibarel Deck that you posted. Can you share with us more lists that we can import and play with? Videos are great but a deck list to import is the best. I need an updated Charizard EX import list deck, electric/Raikou V that hits for 120+ on the second turn going forward, or what you think is best to win the most games with a "fast attack" deck that just deals damage from turn two and beyond to rank up from league 700. Thank you.

Hi there, thank you for checking out the channel. I am currently trying to get the updated lists in the descriptions/channels. I've just been a bit busy with the day job. I should have it up in the next day or so when things slow down That's actually a really good idea. Would you care to elaborate so I can look into that? Do you mean decks that win fast or picks I would use to rank up ?

@@goonsquadtcg The old Char/Bi deck is outdated due to vip pass now being gone and obviously the meta changes that can be reviewed to consider what cards are best now moving forward. I still feel like Charizard EX is and will be the best meta deck for a long time when all of the testing is done and if stalling pokemon like Mimikyu are not popular etc. The main deck that I would lose to in my rank and with your deck is vs an electric/Raikou V or "Fast attack" deck that would simply fill their bench on the first turn, attach an energy to their Raikou V on their active while using their fleet-footed, etc and hit for 120+ with Raikou V on the second turn with no real way to stop it and it made you afraid to bench anything because every time a pokemon was on a bench - it just gave Raikou V 20 more damage to deal. Raikou V also has one retreat cost with 200 hp so even if char hit it for 180 - it just retreats into another Raikou V or something else. It was worse if they had boss's orders/pokemon catchers to pull in your charmander or charmeleon to knock out before you could evolve into Charizard EX. If you had bad luck and got Char EX up too late; game was essentially over after their second turn 120+ attack. I felt like Raikou V was consistent to deal 120+ damage with two energy while taking advantage of the active ability each turn, sometimes using Regieleki VMAX for 30+ damage ability later, and zapdos +10 damage ability. Entai V is a fire type with the same ability and attack with 30 more hp but 3 retreat cost instead of 1 and it does not really fit with the idea of a Charizard EX deck which centers around it as the main attacking pokemon but takes time to get into play. I have thought about having something that could do something while it sets up like more fire energy, having radiant greninja throw a fire energy into the discard pile, use scorch basin stadium to attach that fire energy to something like basic Moltres on the bench that can deal 20 damage normally but now 90 damage 1 energy with the two damage counters put on it from basin, maybe have a 0 retreat cost pokemon like mew ex as active so retreat it and hit for 90 damage 1 energy on the first attacking turn to buy time for Char to setup; but pokemon like Miraidon EX Tandem Unit ability fill their bench so fast on the first turn in a way that fire-type just can't do and without char ex, fire just can't seem to compete with an electric deck, and would still knock out Moltres 120 hp in one attack with their full bench anyway. They also use Rotom V ability to draw more cards on the first turn and if they can't attack so each of their turns is always useful even if they can't attack while also having forest seal stone to put on their Rotom V or other V pokemon and Rotom can also become Rotom Vmax, too. Anyway, it just feels like electric decks that build around Raikou V to fill a bench and attack on the second turn, or most decks that beat me in general; build around being able to deal consistent, even with bad luck, high probability of being able to deal massive damage on turn two, and essentially win the game from their strong start especially when they have the ability to use pokemon catchers etc to pull in and knock out the exact pokemon they want early before it can evolve. Currently, I am playing this deck, (kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqbQfWmphKh3fcU) because it is recent, seems finalized after testing, and it seems like the future deck built around Miraidon, Iron Crown EX ability to boost 20 damage on future pokemon, and other future pokemon + capsule to power up for knock outs is too strong. Miraidon is a 1 prize 110 hp basic electric future pokemon which in that video, is easily hitting for 100 damage with 1 energy while attaching two basic energy to benched future pokemon due to having capsule and two iron crown EX on the bench. Time and tournaments will show what is truly the best or rather, the highest probability performer that may also have a way around ninmyu or something like that which can stall/mill. I enjoy your content and you are passionate about the subject so I am sure you think about the game in more depth and consider what is the best after testing and finalizing. I will end here because this post is getting a bit too long, and I feel like I am rambling now lol. Thank you.

@goonsquadtcg yes I Agree! The free decks seem quite generous and rotation just happening. My son got into the game so I've been playing a bunch to learn and play with him. Snagged a few Battle League Decks for Easter:)

I’m not an ancient box believer, however I am open to testing the variants that emerge in the evolving meta. I faced one today that was able to go toe to toe with my Bib/Zard deck but I was able to snag the dub (barely). It has potential that I’m just not seeing an answer for right now but eager to see your builds! Raging bolt/ Sandy Shocks build has an answer to the energy problem you spoke about that I saw in action today. Today I went 10-1-0 on live and raging bolt was the only loss. I think the build I faced needs a good single prizer though as it was entirely a two prize build. I agree that it is a very single dimensional deck but was very effective at big knockouts. Great video!

@@summonstormx it’s had several wins in japans city leagues. Not as many as the other decks but it has way more than just 1. It only got 1 out of all the city leagues that happened on the 20th. Doesn’t make it bad.

Hey there, thanks for the watch. I'm currently working extensively with Ancient Box. I feel like there's quite a few ways to play it, and no list has been refined. I'm still working, but I do believe it'll have legs once we figure it out. Roaring Moon in Paradox Rift is a fantastic example of that. Early on, it flopped hard because people were still experimenting. Once people figured the deck out, it started getting the results we expected . Interesting with the Raging Bolt. It is definitely one dimensional. My dislike and lack of faith come from that into a wide open meta. If you face other decks with multi-prize pokemon, you can win out. I just am skeptical that it can answer decks with options. It can also miss key KO's in enough games. I don't imagine Charizard (using Radiant) would mind it in a BO3. Recycling the Radiant is how you skew that prize trade.

Ah okay, i've skimmed through it. I mean it still has less conversion winrate than goodra, gardevoir, or even espathra though@@dpacula63

Been on the ladder with the Hisuian Zoroark that came with the rotation. Is it that bad that is not even considered lol?
@goonsquadtcg

I love Hisuian Zoroark, but I didn't expect it to see enough play to warrant, including in BO3. It's probably a rogue deck I'd need to include in the BO1 tierlist when I look back in a months time

Espartha ex not worth a mention???
@goonsquadtcg
@goonsquadtcg 6 ай бұрын
Not in BO3. I don't think it has enough meta placement to warrant seriously talking about. I did a video (the one right before this that includes 22 more archetypes (Esparatha is there). I find when the stakes go up, the number of viable decks diminish. Hope that helps

I have a lot faith in ancient box. The lugia match up feels pretty nice. I haven’t dropped a game. And chien Pao doesn’t feel bad either. I’m only afraid of zard.

Same. And what keeps me excited for the deck is future supports we will get that will add to the strategy and keep the box growing. Would be really nice if we got a stadium and a Ancient draw engine
