What was daily was getting twelve normal beans from him when you buy a drink, along with a random regional specialty healing item.

Here in Germany we actually have escalators that can go both up and down. When these escalators aren't in use you can make them go one of the two directions by approaching them, but if it's used and it's not the direction you need you gotta wait or use the stairs...

A little thing, but I like that the Sword and Shield one has doors behind the info center and shop. It’s always been a pet peeve of mine that there’s almost never any implication of an employees only area or how the employees actually get behind the counter aside from crawling over it lol. The Sword and Shield center is really just missing some seating (and a door for nurse Joy, but I doubt anyone else cares about that 🙃).

Solid takes. I love convenience and the one-stop shop change for Pokemon Center that persisted since BW was a welcomed one. The Pokemon Center should have tons of amenities as a center should normally have, given that it's an establishment centered around pokemons. It's just logical to include trainer gears and healing supplies shop in the pokemon center. Those spaces for pokemarts can be used for other features for world building. Separate buildings? That's just nostalgia talk and no one can convince me otherwise.

Another detail about the Heart Gold/Soul Silver center. Here in Japan, there are advertisement color laws depending on the historical significance of some areas of Japan like Kyoto. In Heart Gold/Soul Silver, in any of the older style towns the Pokemon centers are a darker red to reflect this in the game. I didn’t realize this until I saw Kyoto style 7-11 and Starbucks.

Its fascinating how much Gen 3 stuff became thestandard against which everything followed. Its often seen as Pokemon´s dark age, but it was basically Super Pokemon (or Pokemon Advanced), the series´equivalent to Link To The Past, Super Mario World or Super Metroid.

Sadly you need Internet to be able to enter that room :/ Maybe you will be able to get in via fanservers xD I was never able to go there, since back when the games came out my DS Lite/game wouldn't connect to my router. But it later worked with my DSi and BW. But I've never managed to connect my Gen 4 ganes to the Internet xD Maybe I should try it with fanservers again, since the official servers were disconncted a long time ago :'(
