With every country we visit, we always try to visit the countryside, just because it allows us to see and experience more traditional architecture, foods, and craft. 🇳🇱 Even though we only got to fit in one day of the Dutch countryside, we’re so glad we went for it, because this was all so memorable for us (especially seeing it on King’s Day)! In next week’s video, we’re traveling to a different country in Europe and starting a new series- any guesses where? 😁 Tours and experiences we did/recommend in Amsterdam: 🥾 Amsterdam: Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam & Marken Bus Tour - gyg.me/or9Ps4jI 🌷 From Amsterdam: Keukenhof Entry and Roundtrip Shuttle Bus - gyg.me/rVR8gKH9 🛥 Amsterdam: City Canal Cruise - gyg.me/OuiUtKlj 🍷 Amsterdam: Classic Boat Cruise with Cheese & Wine Option - gyg.me/WlIntoQY 🕰 Amsterdam: Life of Anne Frank and World War II Walking Tour - gyg.me/6LOzs9Cd 🎨 Amsterdam: Van Gogh Museum Ticket - gyg.me/Eu3yZqzc 🍺 Amsterdam: Heineken Experience Ticket - gyg.me/AtVSaNmq 🧀 Amsterdam: Food and Culture Walking Tour with Tastings - gyg.me/22b66xvh 🖼 Amsterdam: Rijksmuseum and Optional Frans Hals Entry Ticket - gyg.me/aweR2DJd 🚲 Keukenhof: Flower Fields Small-Group Cultural Bike Tour - gyg.me/Y1ctDz1Q 👑 Amsterdam: Royal Palace Entry Ticket and Audio Guide - gyg.me/MibpVceO

Im from the Netherlands, but never visited the spots you went too 😂 I think only the tourists go there! Glad you liked it! The nature is also really nice in Limburg (southern part of NL) or the Veluwe!

Fun fact; Dutch is part of the Germanic language family. There are two subdivisions of the Germanic language West and North. West consists English, German, and Dutch whereas North consists Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian.

I'm wondering if you have ever read the YA book "The Wheel on the School" about Holland? It's a Newbery Winner written in the 50's and is so good.

I may be wrong, but there is some element of Dutch chocolate culture there too.... Im pretty sure that its almost as famous for chocolate like Switzerland in terms of chocolate culture. This was definitely a fun vid. I guess they don't have drunk boats like they do in mexico, but it still looks fun hahahaha
@ChadandClaire5 ай бұрын
They definitely had some party boats, but not as wild as the ones in Mexico from what we noticed.

You only have seen a very small part of the country side. Next time go beyond the western part of the Netherlands, those you visited are the typical tourist hotspots. The prices beyond those spots are much nicer too. Like visiting Zwolle, Assen, Groningen, Leeuwarden or the province Limburg. In Limburg you are closeby Belgium and Gemany. You can even visit a German Island Borkum with a ferry from a Dutch harbour. Windmills can be seen in a lot of the Dutch towns.

The video is fine. But you seem to have only visited the typical tourist locations. Places where I as a dutch person never come. The Netherlands is so much more then flowers or wooden shoes or cheese.

Because they're tourists🤷🏻♀️which btw helps Dutch economy.
