The way each player holds their own with such class and humility, this should be the face of women in sports. No distractions, remarks (maybe on the court but it gets left on the court) and no influence from social media, just pure basketball! 🏀 Love this team, let’s keep it going Fever you got this!!

Caitlin Clark Literally Saved Women's Basketball.
@OriginalJohnDoeFakersBeware3 ай бұрын
Clark is the household name the players had said the league needed to grow a much larger audience but the saving of the league and its trajectory toward greater success occurred just prior to Clark's arrival. The cake was already made, Clark is the icing. The mass media was FINALLY ready to showcase a player from the women's game but if Clark had come along four years sooner, you would have barely heard a word about Clark breaking Marovich's scoring record.
@minimeminiyou13 ай бұрын
She didn’t save it.. she brought more viewers for whatever game she was in.
@OriginalJohnDoeFakersBeware3 ай бұрын
@@minimeminiyou1 I would call it synergy when two forces combined, the W's upswing in popularity and Clark's college career occurring at the same time. I would also call it good timing, and a coincidence blessing from God. Without the attention the media has given to Clark, it would have taken the league a few more years to get to where it is now, but with Clark, the already occurring popularity growth accelerated -- truly a blessing for everyone in the league but if the league, wbb, and women's sports in general had not already been growing in popularity, Clark would not have received that level of media attention. Keep in mind that once the major tv networks decided to start televising WNBA games on a regular basis in 2022 (due to the unexpected significant rise in WNBA audience in 2021 via Prime Video, NBA TV, KZbin TV, and the W's League Pass), they then also had an economic interest in the league's popularity so had economic interest in promoting public interest in Clark to further promote public interest in the W. Telling the history of the WNBA is a great project for a book or video series but will require a lot of research and interviews. The league is 28 years old but its history begins even prior to that.

Nice to show the Best of: How about the worst of? The assaults on C Clark that the refs did little about and the spineless Commissioner labeled "good for business." The jealousy, the caddishness of some players, the pettiness of Angel Reese as she faded into the background. It's great to put a sweet face on it all, but that isn't what happened. To add insult to injury, the WNBA crassly slates Alyssa Thomas ahead of C Clark in the MVP race, a move with no evidence to support it. It's time for the WNBA to face the fact that they have an ineffectual and incompetent Commissioner. Change is necessary...

Indiana can be the Lakers of the 80's, they can out score any team in the league. Just give Clark the ball and the other players can score almost every time they bring it down the court! The Lakers of the 80's won the NBA Championship 5 times that decade! They had to win them now, because 10 years in pro basketball is a long time! With injuries and age comes they will not be on top but about 10 years! Bird won 3 and Magic won 5, so between the 2 teams they won 8 of 10 over that 10 year period before they had to start rebuilding for the next generation! Each team had that player with the(it) player so you have to get the championship before that it player is gone!

Absolutely a disgrace the way you let Bullies treat Caitlin. She nearly lost an eye and you do nothing. Why are the WNBA allowing players to wear such long nails? These are unsafe. You are all racist allowing this to continue.
