I burned out real real hard last year. the crux if adhd is I genuinely WANTED , was excited, had the boundless energy to do all the things. But behind the scenes my brain and my body hit a wall. I spent the first third of this year sleeping whenever I wasn't at my day job, trying get my body back to homeostasis. My hormones and metabolism totally went out of wack. I guess that was the first time I finally felt my limits. I'm trying to be so much more mindful now and respect my body and mind so it can continue to serve me well.

One good thing to know from here is that I am not the only person who's distracted to check email frequently

time management - ask yourself 1) is it important ?.. 2) is it urgent ? .. operating in the important & urgent box all the time (crisis mode) will create burnout .. operating in the important & not urgent box will create good planning outcomes .. most of email is in the not important & not urgent box which creates distractions and wasted time & energy... implement an email 'sabbath' once a month to start ...

When they did these various studies, did the participants KNOW that they were engaged in a "stress study"? It sounds like many of these studies are packed to the brim with potential and active observer effects...the process of looking for phenomena actively causes or elicits the outcome behaviors.

Quite boring conversation. Seems like both the interviewer and the interviewee are quite boring.
