Hopefully this year 2020. in August. I have been a tour operator and was in Norway for 14 times but only up to Bergen and Stalheim (Do you know that splendid hotel there). Now I am retired. And after missing some travel this year due to coronavirus, I am planning a 14 day trip to Norway. I really believe, that this country is the most picturesque in Europe if not the World.

My only problem when you get that far north is that you don't really have forests anymore. The woods in Troms, if there are any at all, are either dwarf fir or dwarf birch. I prefer forests to at least be significantly taller than I am. I lived up there for a year, and proper trees is what I missed the most.

Thanks for this video. Tromso is a favourite location - from the early 1970s, into the 80s, during the Cold War, I used to go there on military exercises with the Canadian Army, always during the winter. A few years ago, my wife and I went on a cruise to the North Cape, with a day stop in Tromso. It was in June - at the best of the midnight sun. I enjoy looking at some current video of this area.

They leave the watches because time does not matter in the summertime with 24 hours of light. They have asked the government to be a time free zone.

Very nice video from Tromsø and Senja, a bit sad you couldn’t see how beautiful it could be if the sun showed up a bit more!! But just from your experience from the video clips it looked like a successful travel!! I once hiked the top to Segla with my camera gear, tripod etc. it ended up that my sister carried some of the weight for me because it was harder than I expected haha!! But yeah, still great views! I also recommend to go to Hesten which is the view of the mountain Segla. I think that is really espectacular!!! Love the way you have presented it, I felt almost like you were a news reporter haha :D

One day, it's going to happen. Great job, you have a new subscriber!

I have researched cruises to Norway a lot, and were booked on the Island Princess for 11 June 2021, but I just cancelled it, due to Covid, and rebooked for 13 June 2022. It is 16 days out of Southampton round trip, but it goes all the way up to the top of Norway. The 7 day ones from UK or Amsterdam can only get to the southern Fjords and back, so hopefully we will go then. We like Princess and Celebrity cruise lines. good luck,

Tromsø is known for a nice nightlife. Places are open til 03.30 at night. But it's mostly in wintertime. In summertime it's not many people out on the City. In the early sommertime when we get out from the pub at 03.00 o clock, the sun shine in our face. It's almost impossible to go to bed, then. So, often we go home with good friends and continue partying.
