At this point, Disneys just looking for stuff that will get people talking about them whether it be bad to good--and seeing how God awful their movies have been doing, it definitely shows that they're going the "get people to talk about how bad we are lol" route. Because face it, it's less work to make a bad movie and get people to talk about it than make a good movie and get people to talk about it. And yeah, the prince kisses her when she's "dead." Very strange, but none of us really think about it too hard as kids. As a kid, I was well aware that his kissing move was just to say goodbye to her one last time. The dwarves were the ones that saved her. The reason they were on the outskirts of society deep in the forest was because that's how dwarves were treated back then. They were casted out and had to work in the mines and sh*t for money to survive. The reason it's significant to keep the dwarves is because THEY WERE THE ONES THAT SAVED HER.
