I don’t know about you but my Phone had oled for 12 years and never had issues. My QD-Oled is also fine. Only problem are bad games. If they have extreme 1% low FPS issues, it can lead to flicker which is annoying and I would probably get a headache but that’s a Game issue and the toll of having 360hz. One game I have experienced it is having a bug where certain text boxes are causing the issue of dropping me from 330hz 1% lows to 50hz. What I just did was limit the FPS to 120 in the game and the issue was gone.

The Alienware AW3423DWF here is still $1260.00, and we basically NEVER see that thing on sale here in Oz. So for me this was an incredibly easy pick. The Gigabyte is the superior monitor; it is 240hz, and it does have excellent build quality and was well packaged and protected with a protective film over the screen etc, something I've heard from disgruntled buyers the AW does not have and people have had scratches as a result. Nice to see were getting closer to what im willing to pay, lol. Lets hope for a good quality 4k 32' OLED with 144hz+ @ $500. Ill buy 2 of those!

I think that the 42" category could do with some refreshing in the market: it's indeed niche, but still a good option for people with the space and budget for it.

Once I pass my USMLE next year March, I'm buying either a beast GPU/CPU or a monitor. Probably an OLED monitor though

I want a new monitor so bad but the overall brightness on these OLEDs is just too dim (for me). I am very hopeful that CES will show us some sweet new panels for 2025 🤞🏻

The 45” LG WOLED hits up to 1300 nits in small windows and 750 nits in a 10% with 275 nits full screen and minimal ABL. Having returned the 321URX for poor HDR brightness I can say this one really surprised me.

I really hope we can get a good 21-27in 4K model coming out. Especially one with a glossy coating. I have the need for multiple monitors, but lack the desk space for the 32in ones.

I picked up the Samsung g8 34" for 470ish plus tax this week. Compared to the Alienware which is about 650 plus tax right now, there's not enough difference to consider switching, right?

I have a Samsung g80sd. Not much review content on it. I like it other than the bad UI and occasional random flickering like the cable was plugged/unplugged (happens at least once a day.). Great panel, color saturation and sharpness. Ignore the matte finish hate online.

Im thinking about pulling the trigger on the AW3423DWF... however one thing Im unsure about is: how are games in lower resolutions handled by the monitor? If I start a game in 1080p resolution, will the monitor automatically display back bars?

Can you guys make a review of the Odyssey G6 OLED? It seems to be the cheapest OLED where I live, and there are no good reviews of it.
@TheYvesW6 сағат бұрын
While kinda niche, can we get a miniled alternative at every price point/category? I do productivity work and gaming, and keep monitors for 5+ years. Thus, I don't want an OLED with risk of burn in and a non-standard pixel layout. The most frequently mentioned options are the AOC Q27G3XMN and the Samsung Odyssey (Neo) line-up. The latter kinda sucks for productivity because of the curved screen. It'd be cool to also get recommendations for us that don't mind spending 400-800 on a MiniLED, even if the OLED competition would look better.
