For a professional review I found this to be very misguided. To trash the Marshall Major IV and call it bass heavy then recommend any skullcandy product over it, is absolutely absurd.

People using headphones or ear buds need to understand that if used at anything other than low volume will bugger up your hearing over time. The little hairs in your inner ear are easily damaged and once damaged can’t be fixed. You will then live the balance of your life with tinnitus ringing in your ears every minute of every day along with loss of hearing.

Really good point! (I hope you subscribe! :-) In iOS 15, Apple is continuing to expand the "Headphone Safety" section of Settings. (Settings -> Sounds & Haptics -> Headphone Safety) I'm glad they're continuing to build in these features that are designed to protect people's ears over time.

I've been using my sony xb700 for about more than 2 years now. and i can confirm these headphones not only feel premium at this range but also sound premium. and battery life also haven't let me down. i also have threw them many times at walls and on floor (rage). and they somehow managed to survive all the brutal beatings i've given them. and after 2 years of rough and tough use along with sweating as i used them during workout and stuff, the earcups finally have fallen off so i do have to replace them. other than that its still as good as new.

It should be noted with the Sony’s to take advantage of the full range of sound you have to have a streaming service that has higher quality music (like Tidal) as noted in the instructions. Apple Music doesn’t currently have high definition music on a lot of tracks. But I believe they are working on it…

Thanks for watching. I hear you about the earbuds. I used to think the old headphones weren’t any good either - I remember the cheap on-ear Sonys that would come with a DiscMan. Am I dating myself? Lol! Now that my budget isn’t so limited, it’s been great to explore these other categories. Stay tuned for next week’s over-ear headphone review vid. More to think about! Thanks for subbing! :)

Okay, last time I looked at headphone reviews, Beats were a joke, just a name slapped on some pretty lousy headphones, all bass and no musicality. So a few days ago I told a friend to avoid them like the plague, now I see this review, how things have changed in only a few months, really? I am confused! Still I am happy enough with my JBL E55BT for portable and blutooth listening as well as my Audio Technica ATHM50x for serious wired listening. My next big upgrade will be getting my ears cleaned out, so that I can hear them!

@Thankz4sharing3 жыл бұрын
@@TheMccanntm I can’t comment about wearing headphones that long, since I rarely use mine longer than one hour. Grados have a metal piece connecting the speakers that makes pressure on the ears heavy for my taste. But it’s easy to stretch it to adjust the tension to whatever is needed.

Definitely not a stupid question! With regard to noise cancelling, the Beats Solo Pro do a surprisingly good job. But compared to over-ear headphones or earbuds, the on-ear headphone design doesn't lend itself to the same level of noise cancelling as some of the other choices. Hi Alice, sorry to hear that but thanks for subscribing! I’d suggest going to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. None of the settings we recommend turning off can cause the kinds of issues you’re describing, but it does sound like you have a software issue and I’m hoping a Reset All Settings will fix it! Just make sure you know your home Wi-Fi password before you do it, because you’ll need to re-enter it after your phone reboots.
