Lite really the only KZbinr to talk about sound quality in detail and compared it to pro and the 3. Common sense is not so common is so true with KZbinrs especially. Headphones is not just about noise cancellation. They only talk about that for most of the video. Not you .. kudos..

Did you own the 3s? And if so do the 4s fit you better? Ive used the 1/2s and 3s and the 3s were a pretty big downgrade for me in terms of comfort. I could run in the original AirPods if I wanted to but definitely not in the 3s.

AirPods Pro 2 sound radio ish sometimes where the AirPods 4 sound more clear with vocals. The pros are just better ANC because of the silicone tips. I have both pairs.

I’ve seen a trend for airpods. When a new product got launched works great so that more people will buy it then when they move closer to next release they decrease a little bit from the anc quality to make the new product to seem amazing and get more sales. When iPhones were release there were many times when they promoted the great processor improvements with ai and when iPhone 16 has been released we’ve found out that the earlier iPhone does not support apple intelligence. There is too much marketing and less improvements. In the end only the margins count. Not to say that they have a general product release then european customers find by their own that some features are supported just for US.

AirPods 4 are very impressive for how small they are, how well they sound and block out noise considering they don't sear the ear canal. Apple has a winner here for sure! For me personally, volume control, better sound, ANC, and MagSafe are the reasons I kept my Pros 2.

Nowadays Airpods 4 (basic), Airpods pro 1st Gen and JBL Live Beam 3 are selling around the same price. Many KZbinrs are also recommending Oneplus buds 3 pro in budget segment. Which one would you suggest? For devices I use an iPad and an Android phone. I also checked out Samsung Buds 2 pro which is selling even cheaper now but it sounds very shrill so I thought I’d avoid that. I’m also a musician.

As someone who owns both the AirPods Pros 2nd Gen and AirPods 4 ANC I perfer the Pods 4 with ANC. My reasonsing is I like the fit in in my ear better. More comfort = better experience for me = happier listening. The difference in quality took maybe 3 songs to adjust to, and after that I've been perefectly content. Mic also still sounds good on calls. I will be giving away my Pros to my father. Good product from Apple imo. Different people will have different preferences, I do not like the in-ear silicone personally.

So. I’ve literally only had these about an hour but I am impressed. I tested the noise cancelling against a white noise machine and it was surprisingly effective. Sound is good as you say, and fortunately for me the fit is good and snug, little chance of these coming out.

It's wired to listen this sound comparison on Airpods 3 connected to Galaxy Fold 4 (with Dolby Atmos enabled). By the way, Airpods 3 with Dolby Atmos on Samsung phone sounds much better, the sound is more dynamic and clearer, it's much enjoyable at the high volume. Now as I'm using AP3 with my Samsung phone, I wonder how AP4 will sound (better?) especially with ANC (if possible to use/control on Android phone).

I bought both AP4ANC and APP2. AP4ANC is the win for me. The sound is for me a lot better. Like he say in the video the vocals in the high mid are much smother and the base on low volume is fantastic. The APP2 sound boring to me :/ And the ANC I was disappointed with APP2 I could still hear passing cars and people talk on the subway when under 50% volume. AP4ANC on the other hand was about the same for me. Maybe 10% less anc but worth the tradeoff and impressive for open headphones. Only thing I'm mad about is the low battery life and other features that we don't get on AP4ANC. I would pay the "Pro" price to get the same features on AP4ANC. Both fit me like a glove btw. Prefer no ear tips tho!

I have the AirPods 3 and the fit is perfect plus I like that I can use MagSafe and I have lost them and the Find My feature works perfectly. I’m satisfied. I don’t know if the 4’s will fit me and not willing to take the chance. Tried the Pros and returned them due to fit and I personally don’t like silicone plugging up my ears.

Awesome review. I was contemplating whether to upgrade from my gen3 to the gen4 with ANC and you have convinced me to take the plunge. And TBH I really can’t fault the price tag. I have always liked my Sony WF-1000XM3’s sonically but I get quite a bit of discomfort from buds so going over to AirPods has been a breath of fresh air albeit the slight drop in sound quality IMO. For me I pay attention to what products have what features. For example, I used to have AW series 3 since 2018. It did it’s job for the many years I had it and I never really cared to upgrade to any other one, cause they just seemed like a faster model of the previous version. But when I heard about the series 9, the main reason I bought it was for the double tap feature. It’s literally magic on your wrist, you can control any media on your watch/phone/tv/speaker with just tapping your fingers together twice. That’s the main reason I upgraded, and the double tap feature actually helps a lot to this day. Especially when my annoying ass alarm starts blaring at 6 am and I just have to tap my fingers together and it’s off.

Ohh my god... Listening to the music sample on my Sony XM5 Headphone: the Airpods 2 wipes the floor with the Airpods 4, not even close. The fidelity and the clarity difference is gigantic... The Airpods 4 is really muffled and washed together. Well at least it has some okey' bass, if we take into account that it's an open earpiece. Airpods 3 is... dunno, you can get better for 20 usd from Aliexpress, honestly. Totally robotic and the highs are non existent.
