Just want to clear something up about the "crates" of Tictacs. I used to work in confectionary. Almost certainly Karl is talking about a retail carton, i.e a pack of 24 that the retailer opens and stocks their shelves with the individual little boxes. I.e enough to fill a cupboard, not a room. Karl's dad's mate probably got them from the Cash n Carry (a wholesaler that typically sells to indie stores). Not crates as depicted in the animation, as in giant wooden crates, delivered by a truck and moved around with a forklift. Sometimes the animators get the wrong end of the stick and make Karl's stupid stories even more crazy. 😅

This is pretty much hearsay, but I have a friend who knew some assistant that worked on a few Ricky and Steve projects, years ago. It recently came up in conversation, and my friend heard this rather surprising story that I definitely had to share here: It's not recent, in fact it was around "Life's Too Short" time, either just before or just after the series aired. Ricky, Steve, and a producer (and the assistant, the source of this story) were travelling back to their hotel in a limo after some awards event. Basically they got into an argument about future projects. Maybe Ricky floated the idea of an Office follow-up before the Brent film idea was finalised. It got pretty heated and Steve kind of slammed his fist against the wall. But he hit that button that lowers the window between the driver and the passengers. Everyone kind of naturally looked through the now-open window: Little monkey fella sat behind the wheel.

my theory is that Karl is in on it, and it's not a bad thing, it's an incredible thing. I believe he's playing a version of himself, he's a comedian, a comedy genius, walking the line of playing dumb yet with comical timing, never overstepping the lines of political or racial or insulting anyone. That's not an easy thing to do. He does laugh rarely, so yep, he's more talented than even Ricky. But I could be wrong, Karl may just simply be Kar lol

22:33 No matter how many times I've seen these episodes, they STILL make me cry laughing. That's on the list of "funniest and dumbest things Karl has ever said", for sure. LOL If you'd heard him say that by himself, it wouldn't have been half as funny, but it's the build-up, and the fact Steve and Ricky are there. (and Ricky's laugh, of course.) Strange thing was, the first time I ever saw an episode, the animation didn't quite work for me for some reason, but a few episodes in, and it all "clicked". The visuals are there just to help the hilarity.

hey did you guys know that as you get into old age your tastebuds begin to fade, one of the last tastes to go is sugar (ie elderly people might not be able to taste salt or spice much but sugar can still be tasty) So this explains why for decades and decades the elderly seem to love their sweets! I'll be keeping a careful eye on the sweets ready for the future, I want to back the right horse of confectionery, want to get the most flavour punch as my tongue slowly dies lol :D

I think the reason we don't remember the first few years of life is because we have no frame of reference. Nothing has any context so our brains find it hard to remember it. How can you remember been born when at the time it was just sensations and different blurry shapes and colours. Our eighsight takes like a year to fully develope.

Love watching you guys, I find it funny you start taking the scenario seriously and analysing way too much. It's a light hearted take on a guy who's a bit of an idiot who is a hypochondriac. I think many people can probably identify with someone they know like it. It's quite a subtle humour. 🤣 Only just started watching but love the guy on the right of the screen (sorry unsure of your name) but you remind me of the guy from HeavyDSparks channel

Funny tikk takk story , our son was getting married to his lovely wife. We are very few attending the wedding. Everything had gone wrong all morning with the father of the groom being on & off who were going in his car once everyone had to change the car lineup , the he changed it again last minute & it was a 2 hour drive to the venue for the wedding. We finally get there & I take a tikk takk & instantly find out I am allergic to the new ice mint flavor. I had to have a shot of my meds thank God I took them with me. Well my son & daughter in law are happily married today with 3 babes & a beautiful home. And his mom almost died at his wedding from anaphylactic shock brought on by a tikk takk.

I don't know why Daniel gets annoyed with Karl about this stuff. This is all stories that were told long ago on XFM and then embelishe for the podcasts and thn turned into the HBO show. It's complete fabrication at this point. Just enjoy it don't take it serious If you want to know how these stories were really told and unembelished then listen to the XFM shows because this isn't worth getting annoyed about.
