It’s a shame that it is a limited edition! The 38 mm in steel would have also been nice 👍

I agree. Although this felt great on the wrist, I do feel they missed a trick by not making it 38mm, and making it limited edition.
@carlobighouse54342 жыл бұрын
Agree 38mm is better size for a no bezel design. Although 40 isn't that bad either. 42+ just not needed, imo, without a large bezel.

Would love the steel in 38 or smaller. When a dial and layout is this sublimely retro, it really shouldn't be spoiled by so-called "modern" dimensions (oversizing). (Just think of what BMW did to the Mini--ugh.)

Hi Adrian. Do you know HOW is Oris concretely supporting Wings of hope NGO? I mean, do they specify anywhere if they are giving any money to the NGO for every watch sold? Because, for me, this could be a big discriminating factor for buying or not this watch. Thank you!

Hi Adrian, Thanks for all the videos, please keep going into the technical aspects of watches, and keep pushing the analysis. I love the watch but unfortunately i can’t afford it. I am looking for a pilot / field watch (also saw the CWC G10 video) with the following specifications: automatic, date, readable. For now the best spec/cost ratio watch i found is the seiko srph23k1 (not a fan of the bracelet but that’s fixable). What do you think? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help Ps: i am professional helicopter pilot and watch enthusiast. I am looking for a (nice) tool, not a fancy overpriced Breitling (personal opinion) Thanks again

Interesting take on the material used. I look at Oris as a brand whose futures, and cache are on the upward swing again since launching the 400/401/402 calibres and the new pricepoint reflects that desire. Gold is fitting.

@BarkandJack2 жыл бұрын
Tudor really have messed up the pricing for everyone else. They are very aggressive with their pricing to disrupt the market. They are a very different model to Oris. Tudor have Rolex money to play with, where as Oris doesn't have a parent company, they are 100% independent.

Lovely watch. Bit confused about Screw-in crown and 50m water resistance. Watch with 5 days power reserve, it would be good be able to swim with. Which means it can be a daily watch .... anyways that's IMHO.
@joeschlicht2 жыл бұрын
Good to know about the 40mm not wearing as large. It was one of my concerns vs the 38mm size. I will say I have tried on several of the previous generation 40mm Big Crowns and they also did not feel as large as a 40mm for some reason. I would guess due to the same reasons you point out that this new Wings of Hope version would wear even smaller... which to me is a good thing. I like the 38mm in gold, but that's nearly pre-owned Calatrava territory. I love the steel with the green accents, but the 40mm makes me hesitate... I need to try on one to be certain. Luckily I have an Oris dealer very close... but if this is limited, they may not get it in... They still don't have any of the standard cal. 403 38mm versions yet. Maybe it's just as well for my wallet! I do think Oris is doing some great things lately.
