It is very difficult to put in that many cameras. This alone took me much longer than it should have to put together.

My nest cameras are pure junk. They randomly disconnect more than they connect. You would think at some point over the years they would fix this but they don't care

I'm sorry to hear. I love that these Tapo cameras are now available to view in the Google Home app so they can easily be viewed with the rest of my smart cameras.

I have 2 Nest cams from before the Google merger. They go through periods when they repeatedly drop WiFi connection for a few hours. I plan to update to the latest Nest IQ in the belief that Google must have fixed the WiFi problems but now I will hold off after I read your comment.

I forgot I had that one, lol. The biggest benefit of Tapo is having the events recorded on a micro SD card so that they are easily accessible and you don't have to pay for a subscription to have access to past events.

You’re a shill. So many cameras not represented here…Aqara, Eufy, Reolink. Every vid I come across that you post is a slanted sponsored video. Many other KZbin creators out there are able to maintain their integrity by insisting on providing honest reviews as a condition to accepting a sponsorship. Brett, I bought the Tapo Mag camera & was hoping for a great result. The build & picture quality was great. Unfortunately it was terrible at picking up people and events. It was so bad I couldn’t believe it so I moved it right next to my Ring Pro doorbell. The doorbell picked up events happening and the Tapo never woke up to record anything. Was very unhappy and quickly returned the device. Buyer beware on this one, which was a shame as I was hoping this was the camera to replace an older Arlo camera that you need a subscription service to be of any use at all.

I'm sorry to hear of your issues with event detection. Sometimes there are unpredictable circumstances that may be the issue. I have now been using Tapo cameras for more than a year and they have all notified me for everything, even so much I had to dial it down so I wasn't receiving so many notifications.

Hey Brett, nice review. I wish you would have added the Reolink to the line up. They have some great cams and are subscription free. Still appreciate you taking the time to do a comparison. Maybe consider a follow up, comparing the winner of this round with some additional cameras.

Thanks for the feedback. I do have a couple Reolink videos on the channel that you can watch and compare. Maybe one day I'll figure out a way to make it easier to do more cameras at once.
