Great collab bro, keep them coming!! You need to link up with food troll. I think when the brother touched on the use of spices to cover up bad meat, I think another big issue which people don’t realise is the use of mutton and selling it as lamb. So many places do it unfortunately.

Love your reviews Ali. Me and my kids are currently in Pakistan and in England we live in the North. We've been to Butt Karahi here in Pakistan in Murree and had no idea until now it is as famous as it is (after hearing of this in this video). We went a few weeks ago and were told they had another branch in Murree and then discovered a few days ago they have a branch in Saddar, Rawalpindi. So excited they are now in England. Thank you so much for this wonderful, entertaining and sentimental review right here. As always your reviews are informative, entertaining and often nostalgic and funny too. Love it! Oh and I'm 40 by the way, Butt on my mum's side and totally understand and agree that today's young generation of British Pakistanis don't always have that connection to Pakistan which people around our age usually have due to us being first gen Brit Paks. Fantastic reviews and completely agree with others on here that you and Munchbox here together are a pleasure to watch. In the past I’ve enjoyed watching Rick Steins programs about his travels around India to find the perfect curry. It became apparent that to Indian people the word “curry” meant nothing to them, but after watching this video it occurred to me that maybe the word Curry is a bastardisation of the word Karahi! Would be great if you both took a trip to Pakistan and did a tour of the popular food places and take a trip to Gilgit/ Hunza as that seems to be the must go place right now! Also, it will help us British Pakistanis to know how much the trips costs etc and how we would go about booking it ourselves . I have noticed many western You Tuber's visiting Hunza but no Foreign Pakistanis so it would be so great to see you guys visit there and you both seem to have such a laugh together and it is enjoyable to watch! Karahi originates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in North West Pakistan. This is the original and authentic karahi. It is simple and doesnt have a load of ingredients its just meat (usually fat-tailed sheep as its popular as it is amazing quality and has a lot of fat!), green chillies, sheep fat oil (which is animal fat but fried into an oil), ginger and salt (some put black pepper in too). Other karahis are different variations like the Butt Karahi here originates in a famous area called Lakshmi Chawk which is in Lahore, Pakistan and that has a ton of different masalas and a ton of butter in and it also has onions in. Karahi isn't supposed to have onions in but this style does. If you are interested in different dishes I recommend watching the yt videos where they go all over Pakistan and eat these lovely foods. Mark Wiens and Food Ranger are good ones.

Here right now I I write this review. The chops were cold COLD! Even the table next to us had same issue when we told the waiters they said noooooo but got us fresh portions after a while 🙄 the mains Chicken and Lamb Kharai are really BIG and they were okay not a HEYMAN. Had to keep calling the waiters for service as it’s really slow and you waiting around 4.5/10 Place looks nice tho
