May I please respectfully say (without any improper intent whatsoever) that it is wonderful to watch an obviously decent man be so proud of his achievements, and the history and tradition of what he does. I imagine that your parents must be immensely proud of you. Thank you also for the variety of dishes you bring to us, and for teaching us how to cook them. My beloved Grandmother trained as a Cordon - Bleu Chef, and since I was a very small girl she would sit me on or next to the work surface in her kitchen so I could start to watch and learn. My Grandparents travelled the world, and wherever they went my Nanna would learn as much as she could about the local cuisines and dishes, and then she would come home and teach them to my Mother and me. She taught me as much as she could before she passed away when I was 18. It was then that I discovered I had inherited the one thing she couldn't teach...her passion for cooking and the rewarding feeling you get from feeding people delicious food. I have only just found your channel, but I am already having so much fun learning the recipes and techniques you are teaching us. Sincerely, thank you.

@@1A9lis Faith ebs and flows, this is natural. Spend time with good Muslims, even if it's just here on KZbin. Don't let the injustice of the world to bring you down. I promise you, when we see what's coming, we'll understand in shaa'Allah. The people most oppressed will in shaa'Allah be the best followers of al Imam Mahdi. It's going to be such an extreme test, and they're being made ready. We ask Allah to ease their exhaustion and pain, to give them strength to keep going, to feed them, and give them water, to decrease their grief over lost lives and trauma, and to make their struggle beneficial, ameen. The best is yet to come in shaa'Allah. Steady your course.

Hi, Latif Thank you for your recipe for staff curry, my wife could not stop eating it. I emigrated to Australia 40 years ago, when we arrived in Oz, you could not find any Indian restaurants, so I started to cook my own. I must admit your recipes are delicious, and I will be trying a lot more. Just to let you know I lived in Cannock Staffs and my wife and I virtually lived in the Padma Indian restaurant. Thank you again Norm

How refreshing to watch you cook. You handle the ingredients with such love and care. Cooking in real time is a joy and a comfort at the same time. I’m convinced that meals made with the prime ingredient of love are very different from those which we see where the food is smacked around and brutalised in order to create noise. Your gentle treatment and your humble appreciation for the gift of what we feel when we cook and the sharing of it with others is unsurpassed. I could watch you in the kitchen all day.

The first time I’ve seen any of your posts. I was much impressed. I’ve been cooking my own curries since making friends with a Bangladeshi guy back in the early 1980s called Abdul who started a takeaway in Manchester that became immensely popular because he had a huge glass window behind the counter so people could see what they ordered being cooked. All his staff wore crisp white uniforms. He ended up so successful he opened up a restaurant in Bolton named after his daughter. I think he’s still there but I’ve lived in Australia for the past thirty years. Love the simplicity. I was surprised that you use a lot less garlic/ginger paste than I would. I make my own curry powder mixes (an add more different spices than you) but have always used tinned tomatoes. When I cook my next curry I’m going go try the fresh tomatoes and puree them. Keep up the good work. Loved your presentation. Stay healthy… Martin

For the stock basically you add lamb with bones to a pot with about a litre of water, onion ginger garlic and dried spices plus salt and cook it for about 40 min. Spices all whole, coriander, cumin cloves, black pepper corns, bay leaf, black cardamom . No need to chop as you remove all those bits at end ( you can make a bouquet garni but we just strain the stock and take out the meat and bones add back to stock It's simple once you have the spices. He'll prob make a video
