They're on another level, both of them. Their attitude towards films is brilliantly profound. They're young, but smarter, and more serious, more informed and more knowledgeable, and definitely more tasteful than most of those so-called "more experienced" or "more known" people out here/there. I deeply admire them. Luke Hearfield is the only one I know who is as good as them. He is also a good friend of Oscar Expert and Brother Bro.

They’ve said plenty of things wrong in the past about things that haven’t happened before in Oscar history. I still enjoy watching them but they’re not perfect. I used to enjoy it until I realized how it’s all political and the quality of movie is not always the biggest requirement. Also, as a horror guy it frustrates me that the genre that keeps the lights on in Hollywood is almost always ignored. Love watching these 3 on FYC every year though!

I thought the movie was a perfect movie until the end and the ending didn’t work for me. That being said it’s still in my top 10 of the year. The ending makes it the best horror movie of the year. If they ended it a little sooner at some points. It might have been one of the greatest horror movies of all-time IMO. It’s still pretty damn good.

Love Gladiator 2 and The Substance When I watched The Substance, I was not prepared to actually love it… it’s amazing… people are talking about it… It deserves multiple nominations. The director can be the torch bearer for female directors this year. Such a beautiful screenplay too. It was shot here in France , but definitely it feels like its in LA. Screenplay, Actress, Director, Make up, Picture for The Substance

I’ll just speak as someone who saw Blitz at a film festival. It’s really underwhelming. Steve McQueen is incredible, the movie has great moments, but as a whole, it’s just “perfectly fine”. I don’t see it as a best picture nominee

So mad I missed the live stream (damn cold). Always love your live streams & connecting with you guys. Unfortunately, haters are everywhere, but don't let that stop you from doing live episodes. Those that appreciate what you do will always stand by you. Some people just post negativity because they haven't anything better to do. Art is subjective, we can all have different opinions but there shouldn't be any need for abusive behavior. With that said, I seriously need to see more of these movies. Been dealing with this cold for over 2 weeks & haven't been able to get out to see anything. Based on what I have seen & the chatter I've heard, I think the following 5 movies are definitely going to be nominated: Anora, The Brutalist, Conclave, Dune: Part Two & Emilia Perez (that's funny A, B, C, D, E lol). I have Sing Sing in 6th but not 100% confident about it. The last 4 slots in my opinion are open, but I think they will come from the following titles: Blitz, A Complete Unknown, Gladiator II, Nickel Boys, A Real Pain, September 5, The Substance & Wicked. One question about Wicked. I have always heard that part one movies don't get enough love from Oscar voters to get the big prize. I am not saying it won't get a best picture nomination but do you think ultimately it could win? All speculation anyway since most people have not seen it.

Most people are saying this feels like a complete film with the movie filling in the blanks that the first act of the stage play rushes through, so really this may be part 1 but it is really more like Wicked 1. It makes sense also because if you have seen the stage show I believe there is a big time jump from Act 1 to Act 2 but the biggest issue is actually Act 2 which could feel too much like Wizard Of Oz 1939 with fluff. I personally think Part 1 will be okay with getting a nom as long as they campaign hard for the film and the movie is as good as people say.

Not sure who needs to hear this but the best film of the year is THE WILD ROBOT. Period. You wonder why audiences shrink for the Academy Awards? It is because the best films get overlooked or ignored for niche art house films which often are vastly overrated when fans get around to seeing them.

animated films always get overlooked the newest Spider-verse and many other animated films over the years are better than most of the Best picture noms but they are relegated to the Best animated Feature Category. It is all because the Academy refuses to see animated features as true Cinema 95% of the time.
