Those hoses should be separated. The TOP hose is a vent for the carb. If you get dirt, mud, or water in that hose, your fueling will stop. Route it under your tank or seat for best performance. Great videos. I've been on the fence about a SSR bike. I'm worried they're too cheap and won't last racing. Can you tell me more about the suspension? Does it feel too "springy" in the front or rear? Like no oil is in the shock or fork? THANKS!
@throttlefamily46554 жыл бұрын
I would say the suspension is soft. The front forks everyone complains about is not where I feel the problem is I think the rear shock could definitely use the upgrade it rebounds a little fast for my liking. I have seen people ride these on the tracks hitting some pretty big jumps but I’m also 195 lbs without gear so I’m slightly concerned about the front forks bending or breaking on doubles or small triples. I feel they would be good just don’t buy used and lock tight every thing. I took both bikes apart and reassembled before our first time out and broke them in very easy. Oil changes every 3 to 4 rides lube the chain and keep the air filter clean. We have about 60 hours on ours now and we haven’t broken anything so far besides the front brake lever. I am actually very surprised at how well they have held up. I used to ride hangtown, e-Street, and riverfront a lot when I was younger but now that I have a kid and Alissa isn’t ready for a big track yet these pit bikes are great for trail riding and small backyard tracks. I hope this helps you out a little bit on your decision.

@@throttlefamily4655 that helps a lot! I'm 6'1" and the same weight as you. For mx, all I do is backyard shenanigans, with a little kid friendly trail riding. But I do plan to race supermoto with whatever I choose. Do you regret not buying Japanese? I know the Japanese are stupid expensive but, if you did it again, would you still buy SSR? Thanks for your response!
@throttlefamily46554 жыл бұрын
Absolutely I would buy the ssr again much faster than a crf or klx 110 and again you run into the same problems with them for suspension and personally I think the klx and crf suspension is much softer than the ssr. I here of people having problems with all the bikes I personally think maintenance plays a big part on all of this. It should be perfect for what you want to do with it.

Zack Skinner 2 maybe or you might have a vacuum leak also is your fuel guage? Another person messaged me saying the same thing and there’s was a vacuum leak but also check if you have gas could just be a simple oversight

Okay, I have a 125cc coolster pit bike. The air filter has a tube coming out of it so it isn’t a closed face like the new carburetor would be. Would I be able to reroute it to fit?

Yes that tube is just a breather tube and you can reroute it.

I’m used to having a battery with four wheelers to do this stuff. Made it a lot easier. Almost just want to mount small battery and charge it after every other use but I’m. It sure yet. I just want to have brake lights for the road and a head light so people can see me better during the day. I only rode back roads nothing major.
