Best place to buy used books online?

I have had such a bad experience with World of Books this past month. My order never showed up. I tried contacting them asking who delivered my order. I never heard back from them. In the end I had to request the 3rd party they were selling from for a refund as they even ignored my request for that after I waited weeks after my expected delivery date. They even ignored messages from the 3rd party as well. I would just advise people to be cautious about them. I've seen other people complain about similar things to what happened to me. Some have claimed that books they received not being in good condition as described. Sorry, for the mini rant. I'm glad you've been lucky with them. People seem to get such a mixed service from them.

Same here. Always a bad experience, so now I'm just not buying from them. The books never shop up according to the description. It's always in worse condition, and they . NEVER reply. Even when I buy from third parties, the only option of getting a refund is to complain. Even then, they ignore. The only way they reply is if you Tweet about them, then they pay attention. All my friends had the same bad experience.

Wow, I had a similar problem a few months ago with an order - the book didn’t match the description. I contacted them, explained the condition of the book and they offered a refund straight away. Didn’t even bother with any photos. This happened late April 2019.

I've used Awesomebooks. There have been some issues but not often enough and contacting them is fine. It's 3 pounds per international order, free in the UK. They mark everything as "good" and they tend to be clean but a bit worn. Nice haul!

I am so glad to see you back,however World of Books is not very responsible. If you order a certain edition,they will send you whatever they have, paperback instead of hardback,they don't care. When you write them (which takes 3 days for them to reply), they will ask you to send the books back but I am living overseas so I can't. Then they will refund you only 30% of your money. Worst secondhand bookshop I have ever shopped with.

A little off the subject, but have you ever read Diana Norman’s Novels? She also wrote under the pen name of Ariana Franklin. The books she wrote under her real name Diana Norman are wonderful historical novels. There is only one of her books I do not own, but I’m still looking! Love your KZbin videos. Thank you 🤗

I find it unreliable to trust about the book covers since they say that "Book picture is for illustrative purposes only, actual binding, cover or edition may vary" and I want the concrete cover below which I see this thing written. Is it possible to get a complete other cover?
