In every Greek village we want people who will help us breathe life into our small villages and live their lives with respect for the environment ❤ Greetings and respects from the mountains of Cephalonia.

Loving the live stream Adventure Freaks, what a great format! Fun & informative to listen to as always, but knowing we're hearing it live is next level good. Keep up the great work!

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

@@IbrahimIsabella-00 The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?

Wow!! We are exhausting ourselves here in the US to pay rent/mortgage in the 2000s and much higher, plus expensive car insurance, high gas prices, expensive food, not to mention health insurance!! Working more than 40 hrs per week, only 2 weeks vacation, overweight, stressed bc we need at least 5k a month to make it as single person...I am def moving to Europe in the next couple of years 😍💕☀️

To supplement Cecile's information, even in tourist places, a main dish costs around €10 and only exceptionally exceeds €15. The typical fast food, gyros (equivalent to a hamburger), costs around 3.5 to 5 €. Fries are 2 to 4 € a portion. Pasta and pizza are 5-8 €. A full meal, with the main dish, salad, and drink, typically costs around 15 € and a dessert is always offered. Patras is 35 Km from Aigio (45 Km from Cecile's place) and is the region's cultural centre, blending modern urban charm with rich historical and artistic traditions. The city (about 200,000 inhabitants) hosts significant cultural events, most famously the Patras Carnival, one of Europe's largest, featuring parades, music, and masquerades. It is also home to theatres, cinemas, museums, galleries, archaeological sites (Mycenaean - Bronze Age, Classical, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and modern historical monuments), and a world-class Archaeological Museum. Live music, festivals, and an active nightlife scene are frequent, while its university contributes to a youthful, dynamic atmosphere. Moreover, the Peloponnese is the heart of Ancient Greece with mind-blowing antiquities (Epidaure, Mycenae, Ancient Corinth, Nemea, Argos, Pylos, Tiryns, Olympia, Ancient Messine, Mystras, Monemvassia, to mention a few). The site of Delphi is also close but on the other side of the Corinthian Gulph, accessible by a bridge. Every step is a place of mythological relevance. The Athens-Epidaurus festival hosts international theatrical, musical and dance performances during summer. In July, an international modern dance festival is held in Kalamata (about 3 hours drive away). You are never too far from a beach, a high mountain, a skiing centre, or an island (Zante, Cephalonia, Corfu, Hydra, Spetses, etc.).

My idea is, why do you need money to live anyway? Why can't you live without it? People are. Cut out the car and all that stupid insurance. Find out what it is and eat a healthy, wholesome diet. Take care of you health by NOT running to the doctor or dentist. Wean yourself off that stupid medication by reducing weight. Get a bicycle and use it daily. Go see in your own country where you can live cheaply. Secure some place to live there during the next recession and target that.

Stop seeing your world through American eyes. There are plenty of countries with rentals at €250 a month. But you better believe, it won't last forever. Landlords all over are watching these videos too.
