When I was at the University of Oregon, I visited the Curtis family in Eagle Point, Oregon. As a New Yorker, I’ll never forget them. It was one of the greatest experiences of my time. Oregonians are the best.

Klamath Falls, they have a great college, a great Indian museum, and the Geothermal hot water is free.

Great points! Klamath is also really close to a lot of great recreational places!

Enjoyed your video, I'm 59yr and have lived in Mendocino Co in northern California my whole life but I am planning on moving to Ashland, by August at the latest. My wife and I have visited and immediately fell in love with the place, We found it to have all the things you listed, it very much has a bay area feel to it and the people seem friendly and non judgemental..just seems very inviting and looking forward to living there.

It is inviting, most people love it. Its great if you like doing stuff outdoors, there of course downfalls but that's with any area! Ashland is truly a beautiful town. We just had an agent join our team that primarily works in Ashland- John Taylor his number is 541-778-3379!

I am looking to move to a small town in Oregon. A town with nature, near mountains, rivers lakes and trails. A place that I can rent a nice apartment. Was thinking Ashland or sandy or forest grove. I like a laid back small town vibe. Which one sounds good? Eventually want to buy a cottage.

lived in So Oregon around 30 something years beautiful scenery, weather, each town has it's own uniqueness, for example Ashland is opposite extreme of Cave Junction, lived 10 years in Salem Oregon nice place too but i wasn't going to pay $300.000 for 600-900 sq ft old house that's falling apart so I moved to Lexington Kentucky, affordable housing, lot more things to do, more modern/sophisticated , but I do miss Oregon

I notice on Zillow that Lakeview OR is cheapest place to live in Southern OR.

100% we LOVE Applegate- we are so excited to see what the new owners are going to be doing with the lodge- now the Lindsay! Applegate is so great to spend a day winery hopping and eating at Pennington Farms and the Provolt market! Even the Country Club... love it all!

Ashland parking sucks and one way streets are a real pain in the butt.

2 things made me chuckle- slightly more expensive than Medford and parking is good. I disagree with those statements.
