Best Playground Edging & Chips: FlexiStack and Nuplay Rubber.
We already had the nuplay in part of the swingset but needed to fix the old plastic edging and hence expand the area to include sandbox for the farm kids so hence more Nuplay and we added the Kidwise edging called FlexiStack, just great rubber edging easy to install.

Why would you put poly down ? It doesn’t let water through. Heavy duty weed barrier landscape fabric is what’s needed I always thought. Water got nowhere to go in your case

Flexistack looks cool but hot damn it's crazy expensive. $30 for 4ft. A 30x30 would run you 900 plus tax just for a border. Big yikes.

Total dont recall 100 percent but i remember calculating a bag goes about 2 sq ft if want 4inches deep each bag, hope that helps

@Asian Beast flexistack is $33 per border and they're 48" long. I'd suspect he paid $1000 just for the border. Mulch was probably another $500-$800(guessing)

Menards one made in the 2004 era, but replaced the slide few times and swing seats, keep it stained ever 3rd yr;)

Rain has never bothered it, it stays in place and doesnt float and or blow away like wood chips=)

holding up well, the weeds we dont have, might be due to 6 kids in it but otherwise due to the weed barrier under it. I still like how doesnt blow out unless kid takes it out lol.

i think if i recal ours in 40 ft by 30 ft area so took lot, but typically a bag does like 5sq ft 1.5 inches deep=)

Can you give pros and cons of rubber mulch? Im thinking of rubber mulch for my swing set, but wonder about my two yr old twisting his ankle if its 3 or 4 inches deep. Is that a concern?

pros soft and comfortable, cons is only cost=)
