Hey beard, I’ve been wondering about this for awhile and wanted to hear your opinion on it. I see this a lot on TCGplayer where a seller will sell a sealed product for much under market price making it seem like they sold it cheap but tack on the shipping price to make it accurate with other sales. For example say a box is worth 100 but they’ll sell it for 85 and tack on a $15 shipping fee making it seem like they sold it for 85 on the recent sales effectively lowering the market value. The buyer paid the same amount for the box as any of the recent sales but it makes it look like they got a better deal. I’ve always thought tcg player should include the shipping in its market value, what do you think?

Best content hands down Beard. I appreciate you not fomo-ing everything because Pokémon will be here forever and there is always going to be a set everyone wants. I have two questions… 1. I snagged two Pokémon center ETB for prismatic. I usually crack one, hold the promo until it’s expensive and sell it to pay for future collections. I generally collect promo’s cheap because they tend to go up. Is it smarter to just hold the prismatic Pokémon ETB’s until they hit over $200? I feel like that eevee promo is going to go wild though and I’m not an eevee fan. 2. Generally holo energies sit around $10-15 a piece. I found a lot of bulk holo’s from the classic collection that are cheap. Do you think it’s a good buy because that product was so expensive? To the best of my knowledge you can use the energies in the TCG just not the Pokémon from the set. So I thought these might be a solid pickup since the holo looks awesome in person.

I was wanting to try and open/collect them with kid as their first experience with Pokemon. Do you think this would be a easy set to start with? Good morning! Hope you had a good thanksgiving break. What was your favorite deck to use when you used to play the TCG? Also I have a Dragonite Holofoil from Legends Awaken that I purchased on eBay a few months back. I was going to send it in to grade but looked there was some print lines/scratches on the holofoil. Card looks perfect otherwise. (Centering/corners etc). How bad would this affect the grade in your opinion? Would it be better to get another one to try again?

So this may be a bit controversial, but to me it's starting to feel like LGSs are becoming scalperish. My local ones are charging the same amount for Prismatic preorders as the scalpers are on Ebay. How does that make them any better than the scalpers? The distributors haven't changed the prices. One can argue and say that "that's where the market is". Ok but if those stores didn't exist, the allocations from the distributors would just go to big box stores who would actually sell for MSRP. Personally I'd rather have a chance to get an item at msrp, rather than buy it from my lgs at current market price. Thoughts?

To add. I went to an lgs that preordered for customers early when prismatic was first announced. Then the allocation numbers dropped and market prices went up. They literally told me they were tempted to cancel the preorders just so that they could have more product for themselves and charge market price. Don't think that's something Target and Costco would do.

Whats your opinions about buying booster boxes of 151 and eevee heroes in the prints outside of english/japanese? At the moment I'm keeping my English sealed and opening korean to scratch that itch but do you think buying say a case of 151 and eevee heroes in korean could be a good move long term? Do you ever wonder if something you mentioned will set off a run on that product. For example, you mentioned how Paradox Rift is still pretty affordable. PokeNE said the same thing earlier today. I get the feeling that within a month or two, you won't be able to find a single booster box under retail. ( not saying it's you guys's fault but that seems to be where it's trending)

My favorite card rn is that Gengar vmax from fusion strike that’s worth like $380. I like PSA 10s…though it’s out my range of $. Is my best bet buying the card raw off someone and sending to PSA? Should I maybe just not buy gengar and invest in sum else? I see it’s gaining value daily it seems.
