Great deck! I purchased the Battle Academy box for my one of my daughter during Christmas. We really enjoyed playing the game together. We play more the level 1 deck to make slow pace game. But because of this box, now I can't stop wanting to collect more cards loll.

Dang, Pokemon has REALLY stepped up their game as far as preconstructed decks go. This looks ready to play straight out of the box, it doesn’t require outside cards to work which is great. I just wish they’d include sleeves in these

use melony and don't waste energy on your sobble line if you start with sobble: turn one attach one energy to sobble and use keep calling if you go second (also try to get an ice rider on your bench this turn) turn 2 retreat sobble to ice rider attach one energy to it and evolve it, use melony on it (you might have to use drizzle to find a melony or a bucket for energy) keep using melony to recycle energy

Honestly if you're just buying decks for collecting and not really trying to learn how to play you could pick up whatever starter deck they seem interested in lol! (I grew up with my parents getting me decks instead of packs lol.) The Battle Academy boxes are good too cause they come with 3 starter decks inside in a board game format with simple cards so it's easy to learn how to play and you can swap between the 3 decks all balanced for each other. These "league battle decks" are meant more for ppl to buy as a bridge to get more into playing the game, not really targeted towards collectors
