Today I went to Sony Authorized Service Center (Neosa Electronics Pvt Ltd, which is authorized service center chain of Sony in West Bengal) and asked them about repairability of these walkmans ZX 707, NW A306 which are recently launched. They simply told after 1-year limited warranty; it can't be serviced as these are non-serviceable products. In warranty they will provide replacement. We know Sony makes durable products but if some malfunctioning happens after warranty, it seems these service centers won't even touch these products. Also, these are not cheap, this one costs 26K and flagship one costs 70K, but due to this unclear repair policy I'm confused. It'll be helpful if others also can double check this and update here (those who are willing to buy these new walkmans.)

আমার ক্ষেত্রেও ওরা সেটাই বলেছিল। আমার Sony nw-A45 ওয়াকম্যান আছে। একবছর হল সেটার স্ক্রিনে একটা প্রবলেম দেখা যায়। আমি গিয়েছিলাম রিপেয়ার এর জন্য। ওরা আমায় জানায় কিছুই করার নেই। যেহেতু ওয়ারেনন্টি পিরিয়ড এর বাইরে তাই রিপ্লেস করাও যাবে না। ওয়াকম্যান এর কোয়ালিটি প্রশ্নাতীত। এর সাউন্ড সিগনেচারের তুলনা হয় না। কিন্তু সার্ভিস এতটাই অদ্ভুত যে একমাত্র ধনী বড়লোক ছাড়া কারো ব্যবহার করা সম্ভব নয়। টাকা জমিয়ে কেনাটা সত্যি অন্তত বিপদজনক ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ কাজ হবে।
