Certainly no overdoing it this summer in the UK, because we didn’t have one! Three months of rain and overcast clouds….🤣

Hi Nadine here in Scotland we had a LOT of hot/humid weather and many very sunny days - unusual for here lol. I'm a bit of a sun phobic person - fitzpatrick one, prone to prickly heat, burns and never tans etc. I use ultrasun spf50+ every day in Summer (on all exposed areas) and had no prickly heat, no pink skin and no darkening of freckles (or new ones). I did wear a hat, seek shade and cover up etc to aid with the issues I have re sun exposure. I used my retinaldehyde and azelaic acid on alternate nights as normal (I have both rosacea and eczema). Overall apart from some extra dehydration (due to all the sweating), my skin survived pretty well. I did have to increase my BHA from once a week to twice a week (to clear any clogging from all the extra spf and sweat), over the last few weeks once the weather cooled a bit. I'm ok with my freckles and have had them since early childhood - they're just part of my face. Obviously the azelaic acid and retinaldehyde keep them fairly light and small - not allowing them to join and form blobs, which can happen with aging (I'm 49 and in true menopause). Pigment isn't my main concern tbh and vitamin c really doesn't seem to work for me. The low ph necessary for both ascorbic acid and AHA's my skin doesn't tolerate well. I do use a 5% mandelic acid toner on the perimeter of the face on the night I use BHA in the t zone, with good results as it's fairly gentle. i also like PHA products. I'll await with interest the body version. Best wishes.

I use Curology tretinoin with niacinamide and tranexamic acid six nights a week. On the seventh night I use the Paula's Choice AHA/BHA peel for 10 minutes. This combination works well for my older, sun damaged skin. I always wear 46% tinted sunscreen daily.

I just started Curology. It’s only been 3 weeks but so far so good. I have sun damage that I’m trying so hard to tackle. My treatment serum has the same ingredients as yours.. I’ve never tried PC but I’ve heard really good things. Have a wonderful evening!

I spent a lot of time in the sun this summer in the US. In Western Pennsylvania is was in the upper 80s and low 90s for days at a time and when you have a pool you swim. I decided to purchase the Clinique Fresh Pressed Vitamin C scrub along with the Vitamin C serum and the super defense Broad Spectrum multi-correcting cream. After watching your video I feel like I’m on the right track and purchased what was available to me in the states.

If you use the serum that tackles pigmentation, can you still use retinol at night or does one have to alternate? You look bomb Nadine, as usual. And thanks for all your pro info. Wish covid to be gone so I can go shop in the UK for a lot of the items we do not have in Sweden. xoxo

Have the Lumecca specialist IPL treatment it’s the same machine as Morpheus 8 but a different handset . The difference with this IPL is that’s it’s made to target all skin types with Pigmentation . It’s far more advanced for pigment than regular IPL :)

Hi Nadine, our Wizard of all things Skincare! Can you please advise if the MEDIK8 product you showed us is worth the price or if we should try the MEDIK8 in the different strengths in the silver packaging? Also, do you use prescription tretinoin also or slow and steady as you have taught us? With limited income, but in need of effective anti-aging (particularly sagging skin) I don’t know whether to try one of the monthly services with a dermatologist review to get prescription strength or what to try. Thank you ! 💕
@gigitiger6283

I have been using the prescription strength tretinoin 0.5% for 3.5 years and let me tell you that it is all that and more. Skin unevenness gone, dullness gone, sagging skin gone. Tretinoin has thickened my skin barrier and fine lines gone, my skin now is plump, my pores have shrunk a lot (I had huge pores) and I have more normal skin now with a healthy amount of oil, not the over saturated oily skin that I could have easily fried a fish on my face. I also had really bad sebaceous hyperplasia and the tretinoin shrinks it making it almost invisible. Only thing is if you stop using the tretinoin they pop back up again, so keep using. It's a fantastic exfoliator so you don't have to spend a fortune on AHA'S or BHA's, although I like to use a face wash with salicylic acid either the nutragena or the cerave one at least 3 times a week. The only thing I highly advise is if you start don't give up, I know countless people who didn't see results tomorrow and just gave up using. Others gave up because they couldn't get past the stage of the peeling, patience will pay off. Myself I started seeing the difference at the 6 month mark and the first thing I and others noticed was my skin was even with no discolouration. From then on it just gets better and better. Hope this help.

@@gigitiger6283 wow! Thank you so much for the encouragement! It helped with skin sagging? - for me it’s worse than lines & wrinkles! It ages me by a lot! May I ask how old you were when you started it and how long it took to see results? Did you work up to every day eventually? You are so very kind to address my question and you are funny too! Nadine has the best community on all of the internet! Sending you thank you hugs ! 💗

@@patriciacasey747 It's my pleasure to help you as I once was in the same predicament. I was 46 when I started and never wore sunscreen before that either, unless a small dose of that was in my moisturiser or foundation. Since starting tretenoin Iv'e been using an spf 30-50 daily religiously. Trust me it helps with saggy skin as tretenoin thickens the dermis and kickstarts your collagen production again. As you would know as we age collagen production decreases and thins the dermis because of sun damage and age, I don't get the science of it but that cream works, my daughter can't believe how much my skin has changed. It's fantastic for cellular turnover, giving the skin a constant glow. Six months it took for me to start seeing results and then it just keeps getting better from there. For skin sag, I saw a difference at least 9-12 months in but it doesn't stop there it gets better and better. I was very lucky that with my oily skin I had zero peeling and irritation and could use it 7 days a week right from the get go. My daughter that started could not, she had to start with 2-3 days a week as it did cause her irritation. Everybody is different. I wish you all the best and if you do decide to try it, just stick with it because it's so worth it. X

Serum being lighter texture and thinner can penetrate deeper into skin and give better results. But can be sticky or not have a nice finish? Moisturiser is more a top layer to make everything comfortable but can have some actives too
