BEST BODY BUYS FOR POST SUMMER SKIN REPAIR

Hi Nadine here in the UK Creighton's do a BHA wash, 2% toner and 0.5% moisturiser aimed at the face, but they're a great budget body buy at around £3 each. I've seen this range in Home Bargains, B&M's and the Range etc. All are fragrance free. Their toner is half the price of the Me+ one, for those looking for a super budget buy. I use the ordinary 1% retinol mixed with a body cream on my arms/hands. I also buy a really inexpensive niacinamide serum to add to a basic body cream, or applied directly on damp skin and covered with a body cream for £3. Boots does a glycolic body product as a pre shower mask for around £6. I like the Ammeliorate body lotion, but I have eczema and super dry skin that sucks up a load of product - making it an expensive thing to use regularly. I'm absolutely fine using cheaper products with decent INCI lists, aimed at the face on the body and this can prove more affordable to use regularly. I also find inexpensive retinol face serums/creams in TK Maxx to use on the body. I hope that helps others who are on a budget. Medik 8 and Ammeliorate are not inexpensive brands and not everyone can used fragranced lotions like the Dove, or the Nip Fab glycolic lotion I've tried in the past. I use a 30% urea cream from SVR on my feet (it also has some salicylic acid in it) and it works really well. I do sometimes use it on healed patches of eczema to get rid of the dry/scaly skin left behind - also works great. It's a smaller size than the Eucerin shown, but super effective. For a 10% urea lotion I like the Altruist for a fiver on Amazon. Best wishes.

Advanced Clinicals has a retinol body moisturiser called the "Advanced firming cream"! You can probably use it on your face too, hope this helps :)

I am very fond of adding an AHA to my shower gel - at the moment it's the Revolution one (Revolution Skincare Lactic Acid AHA Smoothing Body Cleanser), or a face one. It does make a difference in terms of making my skin feel smoother.

For any US viewers wanting to try the Eucerin 10% urea products, our equivalent is called Eucerin advanced repair. Though the percentage isnt disclosed it has urea as the second or third ingredient and also has amino acids, ceramides, and lactic acid in the formula. If you want more exfoliation then we have Eucerin roughness relief which has more Urea though the percentage is still undisclosed.

I used revolution aha body cleanser and lotion. Loved them but unfortunately they gave me chemical burns around my breasts and underarms! It's scared me a bit to try others so could do with some advice and it's got to be cruelty free. I do have the dove pro age so I'll try that. Definitely need a retinol body products that don't cost the earth, thanks xx

Haha so glad you raised your usage of the word oligophilic! Each time you've previously said it in your other videos I've shouted "oleophilic" at my TV which is the word I think you've been wanting to use. Oligo means a small number of and is used in oligopeptide to mean less than 50 amino acids as opposed to polypeptide which is more than 50. Oleo refers to oil hence why oleophilic is the word I thought you were meaning to say 😄

Hi it's available in Home bargains here in the UK at around £3, but only the fragranced version is available. They also have the collagen one, but again with fragrance. I have eczema and that's no use to me. I use the ordinary retinol in squalane mixed with my body cream. Hope that helps as it's much more expensive on Amazon.

Thank you for this video Nadine, such an underrated topic. I use the Neutrogena face wash (with 2% Salicylic acid) for my body, or the La Roche Posay Effaclar micro peeling wash. Who on earth would think 2% salicylic acid would be unsafe for use on the body? Interesting 🧐

Cassandra bankson says you can use the ordinary peeling solution the red stuff I have an entire bottle I’ve used very little because I’m 46 & afraid of overdoing it.. but she says you can use it on your body as well..I wonder if I could mix it with a body moisturizer and it would work…btw I’m not a fan of that other yt personality I find her very obnoxious…sorry I just adore you Nadine
