How do you feel about the prospect planting them in one of those half whiskey barrels? Im think they'd drain more than plastic but less than terra cotta?

Does this pot have any holes at the bottom for drainage and if so how many? Thanks!

Hi! I recommend that a pot has holes in the bottom. Without them, water will collect in the soil at the bottom and can cause root rot. I like to have 5 holes in mine. 1 in the center and 4 around the edges.

I just repotted my Monstera in a plastic pot ☹ should I repot it again. It was in really bad shape the soil it had contained slugs other bugs among other things. I gently cleaned each leaf with mild soap and water, trimmed with sterilized scissors the leaf i could not save and gave it fresh soil. The roots looked pretty healthy and so far I already see new leafs going to come. It looks a lot better than before but after seeing your video am wondering if I should repot it again. Thank you

Hi! Everything that you’ve done sounds like the right steps toward having a healthy monstera. In my experience, I’ve found that terracotta pots for indoor monsteras work better for long term growth. With plastic pots, they hold in a lot more water and can get water logged over time, leading to root problems. I hope this answers your question. 😄
