Hey Josh, I'm from the Philippines and just received my nozzles identical to the ridge washer today and you uploading this video was very fun to see. I ordered mine from Shopee (basically south east asia's Amazon) with the seller shipping straight from China. It wasn't even branded Ridge Washer where I bought it from but my nozzles are 100% identical to yours, including the branding on the rubber end which I was very surprised to see. Those nozzles have been on sale for around a year for us. Anyways I'm really glad to see your review on them, and I agree they're amazing value for what they are. I only bought the green and white nozzles for $3 each, with free shipping.

The problem I have with the ridge tips is that on my ryobi pressure washer it seems to make it work harder , I hear it forced and not smooth like it does with the ryobi tips. Great video brother
@imjoshv7 ай бұрын
Hi the Ryobi tips are usually around a 1.8 - 2.0 orifice. When you go to a larger orifice it will definitely change the sound of the machine but its actually not working harder. If you do an amp test you can see that when increase the size of the orifice it will decrease the amps meaning the machine isnt working as hard. However, if you prefer how the Ryobi tips work, keep tp that cause i havent been able to find an aftermarket nozzle that is as small as those! They work perfect on those ryobi units to get the higher psi numbers!

40 degree is chosen for two reasons. Almost no chance of damage to car or trim. Don't have to worry about getting too close. And 40 acts great for creating a water blade for pushing soap of the card after foaming. Most detailers also use a 25 for wheels and wheel well

So much of the consumer ebay and Amazon grade pressure washer parts from China use 430 stainless, which rust. Or plated steel. Why do you think they are so cheap?
@Sesshomaru4746 ай бұрын
You get what you paid for. The reason it's cheap is because it's cheaper to make, aka poorly made, in China. So they still make profit before counting the fact like how they want you to buy nozzles and change them every time, apparently monthly. Just buy a well known brand not in Amazon, since China also make cheap crappy copies. And you take care of them, lasts you your whole life, might even go down through generations.

Josh, I bought a new sprayer gun and my regular 40 nozzle doesn't seem to fit the gun. However, the 25, 15, 0 from the same set fits it (meaning it clicks into the quick connect). Is there something I'm missing here? Because my pressure washers factory gun lance setup fits them all perfectly fine. 🤯

HELP! Thx for your videos, but this one was very interesting. So I ordered the RIDGE WASHER 4.0 nozzles with the gauge of the same brand. I also ordered the Active short gun (thx for that video) with Yamatic 3/8"x50’ hose. I have an old Simoniz 1900 psi pressure washer (bought in 2002?), so I’m not sure about the specs. I tested with a bucket and it takes 40 seconds to fill one gallon with just the gun, no pressure nozzle, which gives me 1.5 gpm, if I plug the 4.0 nozzle I have 1 gpm. When I use the pressure gauge with the nozzle 4.0 attached, it shows around 525 psi, is that enough for washing a car? Should I go with a 3.0 orifice ? which I believe will give me around 1000 psi if we consider 1.5 gpm. Or should I go with the 2.5 orifice? Any advice?

I have a GreenWorks 1600 psi electric pressure washer I scored for 50$...what orafice size should I buy for my tips ? I was using my old Briggs and Stratton ones from my gas pressure washer but they are 4.5 and obviously aren't the proper ones...was thinking of going 3.0?

Josh, I have to tell you I have the active 2.0. I have the McKellan nozzles and I have the cheap rubber ones from Amazon. I’ve been detailing at home and I got to tell you I’m a big fan of the green tip from Amazon

The Ridge should be the winner on price alone. Slightly less water throughput than the McKillans and the rubber sleeve firmness was in between the McKillans and MTM. Plus the 4.0 Ridge set is currently an additional 15% off.
