I tell you one more thing as an infp that we see the world ,ideas and feel it soo real but we cannot see stories , timeline ,characters in that much depth .

You are so correct in this. As an INFP creative, I've observed this and actually made good use of the outside productivity tip. I have a person whose specialty just happens to be understanding requirements and breaking them down into functional steps. I will definitely be doing this again. I appreciate your videos SO MUCH. I've never felt so seen and understood.

00:13 Structure is the key ingredient for INFP writers. 01:35 INFPs struggle with creating structure for themselves. 02:55 Create concrete action steps and make an agreement to complete them 04:12 Stay on the current step until it's finished 05:28 Implement the strategy of finishing one step at a time to complete the writing process. 06:33 Choose manageable steps to ensure productivity 07:47 INFPs can get lost in their internal world easily when trying to build structure on their own 09:01 Seek external support for INFP writers ----From Notta's video summarizer

Wow, great advice. I am an INFP creative -- writer and illustrator, and this is exactly what I do... kind of. I have found learning what the moon phases are and working around the natural cycles that are bigger than me helps. and watching "plan with me" videos on KZbin helps me.

I’ve been lost in my internal world for 15 years! Maybe you could be my coach? Everything you’re saying resonates with me.

As an INFP writer (one who enjoys your other content), I have to say I disagree. I strongly dislike the idea of an outside presence imposing a structure on me which goes against my natural and very non-linear thought process. I did impose a very strict structure on myself in my twenties. I forced myself to achieve my goals and focused on one project, and it was very frustrating because I’d end up throwing out everything I had finished or achieved because it wasn’t right and I knew it. You see, unlike INFJ writers, I do not start off with a singular vision. I have a ton of ideas that I need to explore and work through until I finally find which one is right. Only once I’ve gone through the process, do I have my vision. It emerges through my writing, through following my intuition and inspiration. Trying to “finish” means closing down this process and being forced to commit to a path before I am ready. I’m not saying that, for some INFPs, your process could not work. I’m sure it could. We are all different and we are at different stages of our writing careers. I just know that as an INFP writer who has finished and published 3 novels, I feel very upset (and a little patronized) hearing a constant refrain of us being “unproductive,” “undisciplined,” or having “attention deficit (ooh, shiny) disorder,” that we need outside help because apparently we can’t create structure on our own. I’m sorry to be critical. I like your other content and I am fascinated by how INFJs think and how their minds work. But as an INFP, I feel the need to point out that this may not be the problem all of us are facing, nor the solution we all need.

"don't skip steps" literally me some minutes ago. trying to write lyrics/poems for the first time. 1 hour long of thinking and writing different stuff and skipping everything without even having specific steps. xD

I think the answer is to either hire a coach or seek someone out. If not a family member, look for writers groups. A way to meet new people with this objective could be to find a writers group, let people know that you're trying to create structure to complete your work, and then propose if anyone else in the group would be willing to do a challenge with you, turning it into a game to get to befriend others and rely on each other for support. If you're really resistant to seeking out others and want to do it all yourself, you're left to rely on your Te, which you absolutely can use successfully, but it might be the hardest, least rewarding path to take. Study how others write their projects. Set goals for yourself and find ways to reward yourself when you reach each goal. That said, it's extremely important to share your work with others eventually to get feedback. Isolation, though tempting, is poisonous to mental health and can rob you of the perspective to avoid huge oversights in your writing, which you will regret later.

thank you for your channel, Im an infp intuitive and I also love structure, so I have many books that I have in the makings but of course you know as an infp nothing ever really gets done. Except for bursts of brilliance! I I have many outlines with complete table of contents i know where i am and where i want to go, the books are ready to be written as the bones / structure is ready to be fleshed out. But it seems like my mind shuts down after I create the table of contents , then i want to go to my next project. So your suggestions are good if it is mainly for grammar and accountability , but the content that i write is not easily understood by normal layman. Any other suggestions are welcome thank you for describing me So well. If it werent for my Te being in my fourth stack i could move mountains!, it is in fact the thorn in my flesh. Im sure you understand.

How can INFJ's balance social media consumption? Especially if they use it to promote their writing.
