Does amazon sell the Hisense C1 tri laser projector? A bit weird it wasn't mentioned at all, being a great value.

Yes the Hisense C1 is avaialble on Amazon and it is an excellent projector. It was hard to include every model in the video. The current selling price (715/2024) is $1439 so I would compare it to the XGIMI Horizon Ultra ($1698 srp). Both deliver great picture quality but the XGIMI uses a more advanced light source and it is brighter.

How does the epson 5050ub compare the the BenQ 4550i?

Both are great models. The Epson delivers better black levels, but it is a lamp-based unit. The BenQ offers uses a LED light source which maintenance-free and long-life. The BenQ 's XPR-equipped DLP chip delivers a sharper on-screen image than the 4K UHD Pro (pixel-shifted) 3LCD system used in the Epson.
