I'm pretty sure I've never even touched a PRS. I haven't spent much time in guitar stores since the '90's and I don't remember them being commonplace back then. However, I think they are some of the prettiest guitars out there. Also, Paul is a riot to watch being interviewed.

Love PRS. I owned, and own SEs as well as Core 10 top. So, it isn’t always price that dictates my purchases. I have a SE Starla, SE Hollowbody II Piezo and just got a SE 594 standard. On the Core side, I had a 594 10 top. I love them all. The Starla has pickups that no other guitar sports and to my 65 year old ears, are actually the most vintage pickups they produce. I like the wide fat necks because I have wrist damage and if a ne k is too deep or shallow, I can’t play it. Don’t get me wrong… I adore my Strats and Teles too but there is a quality in PRS guitars ( all models ) that you can’t match dollar for dollar. From coat or paint to tuners and necks and pickups… you won’t find their equal from another mass-produced brand.

Fantastic review! PRS make a great instrument across the board. My first PRS was the ZM, I was hooked after that. Sold my LP and never looked back. I have 5 in my collection now. My number one is a 2016 CE 24 Satin Blackout, also in the heard a 2008 Hollowbody, 2012 Korina NF3, 2020 McCarty 594 SingleCut and a 2018 SE 277 Semi-Hollow Soap Bar. Love them all!

I've been playing for 48 years. I bought a new 2022 Core 10 top custom 24 piezo from John Mann's Guitar Vault a month ago for $5470. It sounds amazing in the low gain sounds, but it lacks deep low high gain sound. (It doesn't Thug) I also hate the trem as it does not stay in tune when used, so I unfortunately decided to totally block it and use it as a hardtail guitar. (I wish the nut was locking) It plays & feels alot like a gibson les paul, but sounds more angelic. I'm going to keep it, but I don't think I'm going to buy another one any time soon, especially for the money

I have an SE Custom 24 from the mid-2000's in tobacco burst that I bought new. A Custom from that era doesn't have the coil tap. It also does not have the bird inlays. It has what were called "iridescent moons". I have never felt the least bit slighted when PRS added the coil tap feature and I have never considered upgrading just to get it. It is a wonderful guitar regardless of price. Plus, their gig bags from back then are actually quite decent. PRS SE offers a lot for the money. Still happy with mine.

I have played a few PRS guitars and even borrowed one for an extended period of time. They are very nice, and if I already didn't have too many guitars, I would jump on one. The issue is always, which one? I would not go much above an SE model, they just get too expensive above that. This being said, I know for sure the SE models are just fine and have excellent quality. I have bandied about the idea of buying one of a bunch. The Zach Meyers, the Hollowbody II piezo, the Custom 24-08, the Eriza Verde.... honestly, there are plenty out there. NOT the silver sky though. I appreciate the upgraded design on the Strat, but I have a Strat, and a Kramer Suprstrat... no need for more Strat type guitars. This was a great concise rundown. Thanks! I think the last time I genuinely considered a PRS, I was torn on a final decision between the Zach Meyers, and the Eriza Verde. This was based on look and advertised features. For future knowledge, if anyone has experience with either model, let me know what makes one stand out from the other and recommend one if you like. Additionally, if anyone has reason to recommend the Custom 24-08 over either, I'd be interested in hearing that argument as well. The Hollow Piezo is out though.. more guitar features than I would use of have use for. Great video, and I welcome any suggestions on my comments.

I got a PRS SE Custom 24 after wanting one for years. I bought it after quitting guitar for 8 years. But after trying other guitars, I realized that I didn't really like the SE Custom. It sounds so dark and muddy, and the neck is sticky. And I've tried other newer SE Customs. However, I played a S2 Standard and that was a really nice guitar. Even with old rusty strings it sounded and felt fantastic.

Just stepped up to my first PRS, an S2 McCarty 594 Single cut and I love it. The vintage pattern neck is like a slightly smaller version of the 50's pattern Les Paul neck and IDK how else to describe it besides it's a LOT of fun to play, smooth and fast. The import pups and electronics sound kinda on the dark side but they are quite dynamic and between the tone controls that work quite well and the coil taps you can get a pretty broad range of tones from it. Also I think anyone who prefers the 24 3/4 scale length would really take to the 594. That's about the only thing you didn't mention about any of the 594s was that it stands for the scale length, 24.594 inches. Overall it's kinda like having a more comfortable better playing Les Paul that's a bit lighter. I'd like to check out a Core 594 but I don't think I'll ever have that kind of budget. Can't wait for y'all to hit 50k, you keep edging closer all the time! Digging this PRS but I'm still all about some Les Pauls and green is my favorite color! Keep up the great work guys, some of us are digging it!

I've really really wanted to like PRS guitars. They are I think the most beautiful instruments on the market. The feature list is as good as or better than most other guitars. In that SE range you get a lot of guitar for the money. All that said I've just never been able to warm up to them. There is something about the sound of the "S" series pickups that just sounds dark and flat to me. I thought maybe it was just the guitar I had so I sold it and bought another. Same thing. Then sold that and bought another. I've come to the conclusion that to my ears they just sound muddy. At that similar price point I've owned an Epiphone, Mexican Fender, and Gretsch and they just seem to sound more lively. I can't explain it but that's been my experience.

I’ve met a lot of women in my day…maybe I have met less guitars. Usually, as I guy, we settle for a woman that will have us. If a very special one comes along she usually doe not want us, well maybe for a night our two, or if your lucky a bit longer. When YOUR guitar comes along you just know it. As soon as you pick it up there is something special. I’ve ordered and sent back a lot of mediocre guitars. I’m a mediocre player but a pretty decent arranger. I’ve run the gamut from 300 eu to 1200 eu guitars. In the era of machine made computerize production there is not much human energy shining in guitars these days. Especially the name brands. I kept a 300 eu Ibanez and sent back a slew of Fenders (Ventura, Player PLUS), Squiers (Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Tele’s), and all the other big names: Charvel pro-Mod, Epiphone SG and a ES-335 (shipped with a busted tuner); a Larry Carlton S7; a YAMAHA Revstar Standard. As far as relying on KZbin videos…they are like women, and men too, on dating apps. I lot of talk but until you meet them in person you can’t really tell. I am glad THOMANN has an easy return policy! Now I’ve got a PRS SE Custom 24. It has by far the best quality at this medium price range (tho I’m thinking of swapping for locking turners). It sounds great. I like the maple top; I like the wide, thin neck. It comes with a gig bag. It just feels like a great value 777 euro($845). Is it a keeper? For now, yes.

I have asked the question several times on demos and on PRS's channel - "what's the deal with switching to Cor-Tek from WMIC" and there has been zero answers or responses. Hard Pass; Cort shouldn't even exist, they had to literally move to a different country or dissolve as a company - how bad do you have to be as a manufacturer to get exiled from South Korea? These usually get deleted, so I expect that. If you have questions, do your own research. There are a lot of instruments in this world; I don't have to support these with my wallet or face time.
