Hey, i think Sony removed the compatibility for these controllers in BF2042. It seems like new games will only work with a Dualsense now. So for that these controllers wont work but the Beloader adapter would be needed, or remote play.

Yes thats true, a lot of games removed controller compatibility for controllers shown in this video. Nowadays either Sony Remote Play or a Beloader must be used to play all PS5 games with a XIM.

great video and thanks. I went with the Nacon compact (25 quid at argos) and worried is wasn't working at first but you HAVE to use it on channel 3 of the supplied Xim USB hub. I previously went directly from a USB switch on my PS4 so I could easily switch between that and my PC so now I've simply added the 3 way hub on the switch output and it works perfectly, as it did before. Gotta love the guys and girls at Xim, great work

Most PS5 games dont support these controllers anymore, what you need to use nowadays is either Remote Play or a Beloader.

You can use Remote Play for the PS5 version or play the PS4 version of the game, other than that theres no solution atm. Ubisoft now enforces the DualSense controller as the only controller that can be used.

Has anyone tried the 3.5MM audio on the Nacon Compact controller? Can anyone confirm if the audio quality is on par with the Dual Sense or if I will be downgrading my experience by using the Nacon vs the DualSense? The game only accepts the DualSense controller, you can either play it via Remote Play with your XIM, the PS4 version with your XIM or by using the native mouse and keyboard support of the game.

Thats not possible, Sony enforces the DualSense in that game. A fix is currently being looked into and might be announced in the next week, until then you can use remote play for that game.

Sony removed the compatibility of these controllers for most PS5 shooter. This now only works in racing, fighting and other games but not in shooters. You now must either use Sony Remote Play or a Beloader with your XIM for PS5 shooter games.

Hey, RB6 removed these controllers from working in the PS5 version a few months ago. More and more games are following this trend too. The only solution for XIM that works for all games right now is Sony Remote Play or a Beloader.

Hey, the new Beta Firmware also requires a new XIM Manager, so make sure to update both so you keep all the new options! :) With the Beta no features have been removed so its probably the Manager requiring an update. You have to manually update it through the XIM Website, you cannot use the manager from the iOS/Playstore with it.

Hey, this controller will only work in older PS5 games. For newer games Sony doesnt allow this controller anymore. For these games you need to use one of the PS5 workarounds such as Beloader Pro, PSRC or Sony Remote Play. You could also get XIM Matrix when its out as it is PS5 compatible.

Hey, for Nacon compatible PS5 games you just have to install the latest XIM Beta Firmware and it'll work. For PS5 games who dont support the Nacon you will have to play the PS4 version instead, or use the Beloader or Remote Play approach.

Hey, the XIM4 doesnt work with these controllers because the firmware update doesnt fit into its memory anymore. You can however play the PS4 version on a PS5 with a XIM4.

Hey, Sony removed the Nacon compatibility for newer shooter games. Older ones still work (and basically any non PS5 shooter game too). For newer PS5 shooters you must now either use a Beloader Pro or Sony Remote Play with your XIM. Alternatively play the PS4 version and wait a bit more for the XIM solution! :)

Hey, im not sure if the Nacon works when connected directly to the PS5. For that maybe ask the Nacon support if you have issues to get it running, since its an officially licensed PS device it should work though.

The XIM Devs have stopped working on it as they currently wait for the first officially licensed third party PS5 to come out. These should share more insight on how to make the DualSense compatible. So yes its still on the list but dont expect the DualSense to become compatible anytime soon as no manufacturer has announced such a third party controller yet (except for Scuf but that doesnt really seem to be a licensed PS5 controller but only a modded DualSense).

Hey, in newer PS5 games Sony doesnt allow the Nacon controller to work anymore. These games only work with the Beloader (Pro) or Sony Remote Play. There is a new Hori Octa PS5 controller now but it hasnt been checked yet if that controller works in newer PS5 games.

It don't make any sense to use Xim Apex for ps5 because the team sad it won't be St games for Ps5 Supported until they get the ps5 or third party ps5 Controller work with Xim Apex...don't wast your money if you think you can play Ps5 games only Ps4 Games St would be supported if a games required a other Deadzone etc as the PS4 version you can't play the ps5 version for example in the list for to do St is Demon Souls they game won't be supported because it's the ps5 but it's in the list on the forum that will be supported In the future

Currently theres not a single PS5 game that uses a different aiming mechanic on PS5 than on PS4. And the only exclusive PS5 shooter Returnal uses so many exclusive DualSense features that it doesnt make sense to add support for it, hence the forum response. Im not sure why someone would want to play Demon Souls with a mouse and keyboard tbh, it plays much better with a controller :).

If you guys want a cheap method to play PS5 games with Xim Apex just get a StrikePack FPS Dominator goes for around 30/40$ and i’ve tested it with Xim Apex on PS5 games! You will need the standard DS4 Controller to plug the strikepack in and then the strikepack to the Xim Apex!

You can confirm this works? I own a dominator myself. I’m wonder if using it somehow intervenes with the detection of the DS4, because if you had to try using a DS4 on the PS5 version of a game, it obviously wouldn’t work.

Can someone confirm this? First time that i hear about that. The strikepack is to my understanding not an officially licensed PS device so im not sure why this should work. But if anyone tried it in a PS5 game then definitely let me know!

Hey, PS5 shooters no longer work with the Nacon, Sony removed the compatibility for it. Other PS5 games still work with it such as racing games or fighting games. If you want to play PS5 shooters with your XIM then you must now either use a Beloader Pro or Sony Remote Play.

You either have to write the seller a mail, or ask other Ximmers who have already purchsed the device. The links from the video description all have the correct controller. So if you are unsure about buying the corerct model number just use one of the links from the video description :).

Hey, both of these games dont support these controllers anymore as Sony only allows you to use these controllers in older PS5 shooter games. For newer ones you will either need to use a Beloader (Pro) or Sony Remote Play. You can find tutorials for both of these on my channel. The XIM Company is also working on a PS5 solution.

With this solution you can only play the PS4 version of OW2 on the PS5. Unless you have a XIM Matrix, then you can also play the PS5 version!

Okay, I’m going to do my best to explain this. I need some serious help. My setup: Xbox series X with the xim Plugged into Xbox series x controller, G502 hero mouse, and Corsair keyboard. I can set my hip sensitivity through the xim app to 10 or 1000 and it doesn’t actually increase how fast I spin. I also use the Destiny 2 updated X/S config on the xim. But if I load up fortnite and increase my sens I can turn super fast. And yes I do have traction on my boots. What’s WEIRD is I loaded my old gen Xbox one S up, loaded d2, plugged in the xim, used the series x/s D2 config even though it was an old gen, and also had it plugged into the new controller. The sensitivity for some reason worked. I could TURN crazy fast like I’ve always wanted to on D2, and I have no idea why it was working on the old gen but not on my series X. I even tried lowering the frame rate on the series x down to 60 hertz and putting the resolution on 4K just like the Xbox one s’s settings and that didn’t fix it on my series X. Please someone help me with this.

Yes Sony doesnt allow that controller in some PS5 games anymore, a XIM fix is currently being investigated! :) Until then you can use remote play or the PS4 version of the game.

Would you know of how to make a third key binding? Like for rainbow I want to be able to have switching my weapons as my scroll up and scroll down but then I can’t spot in cameras by holding down another button. Would you know a way around that?

Wouldnt the secondary button bindings be sufficient for that? You can add more bindings by activating a sub config and unbinding the inherit box at the top. Then you can bind the whole controller another two times.

Hey, the controllers shown in this video dont work in the RB6 PS5 version. You must either use Sony Remote Play or a Beloader. The Beloader has no voicechat support though, so you would also need a USB soundcard. Sony Remote Play might be the best option for you. You can find tutorials for both on this channel.

Hey, with the new season RB6 PS5 version only allows the DualSense controller now. You can still play the PS5 version via Remote Play with your XIM, or by playing the PS4 version instead.

Hey, the third solution is the new Beloader adapter and works in all PS5 games. The 4th solution is shown in this video and is about specific third party PS4 controllers. This will not work in all PS5 games though, and new PS5 games usually dont support this too.

Most games dont support this workaround anymore, so i would say a Beloader or Sony Remote Play are kind of mandatory these days. Warzone doesnt have a PS5 version yet so you can directly play it with your XIM, no workaround needed :).

So I use the hori mini gamepad, and have for a few months now with my Xim Apex. I tried playing Warframe after the most recent update (ps5 version) and it's now saying the PS5 version of the game doesn't support my controller. It worked fine right before the update, but afterwards it hasn't worked at all. Still works fine for all of my other PS5 games, so if there is something I'm missing or some sort of work around here that doesn't require me changing my setup I would greatly greatly like to know

The PS5 version of the game only accepts the DualSense controller, you can either play it via Remote Play with your XIM, the PS4 version with your XIM or by using the native mouse and keyboard support of the game.

Hey, XIM Apex is a MnK adapter. If you want to play with a controller then i recommend XIM Matrix, which is also a complete controller adapter + all of its features also work with a controller!

The ST downgrade is independent from your XIM Firmware so your config will stay as it is regardless of updating your XIM Firmware to a new one (or if you already use the latest Beta Firmware). Offering older STs wont happen as in 99% of the cases there is a reason for why a new ST is out as the old one no longer feels good. Also memory limitations on the XIM Apex are another reason for why this wont be possible.

Hey, for a specific compatibility issue like that please create a support ticket on the XIM website, an engineer will provide you solution steps then. You will also have to update your XIM Firmware. Not all games work with this solution, but a fix is currently being worked on and might be announced in the next weeks!

I bought the Nacon compact version of the controller through the link you specified. However it will not recognise the controller at all if I connect it through either of the ports to the XIM apex. I’ve tried starting it every way I can think of. It works directly through the ps5 but not any other way. I’d appreciate some help please as I bought the controller for nothing at this stage

Hey, Apex Legends should work without any problems. As for your first question, Sony removed the compatibility of the Nacon controller for all PS5 shooters. At least i dont recall any PS5 shooter that still works with it. There was basically a one year grace period where Sony still allowed controllers like the ones shown in this video for PS5 games, but nowadays they dont work anymore. At least not for shooters anymore. To play PS5 games you must now either use a Beloader with your XIM or Sony Remote Play.

Do you see a red blinking on the XIM when it happens? If so you experience a console limitation. Each console game has a maximum turnspeed you can turn around with (controller sensitivity maximum + peg stick to the side). Faster than that isnt possible. If you move your mouse faster than that then the game will just ignore it. Either reduce your XIM sensitivity or move your mouse at a slower speed over the mousepad.
