Personally, I like server PSU. I bought them from parallel miner too and its been amazing. I started off though with an EVGA 1000w I think? And that was great, but the thing with the server PSU is that you can run them really really hard and also they're much smaller which I appreciate but yea, idk if anyone is reading this comment but highly recommend Server PSUs!!

Like yourself I use computer PSU to power motherboards and server power supplies to power GPU’s and risers. I’ve been using 2 EVGA 650GT to power motherboards for about a year now and parallelminer 1200 watt gold HP power supplies for also a year. Neither of them has had any issues and have been running 24/7 365. I’m in the USA. Thanks for all you do and the time you devote to the community, I really enjoy the videos and have learned so much from you.

EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5, 80 Plus Gold 1000W, Fully Modular is my go to PSU I tried seasonic ones and i hate them - They give you great braided pcie cables - the Layout of the 4 in a row on top is great! i hate that some are top and bottom it makes things very messy - 10 year warranty - Super quiet - cool green plate

I've had 1 seasonic ps fail on me since I started mining. It was open box from Amazon. Because of that seasonic only gave me 3 year warranty. "Please note that your product is a second hand unit as per your proof of purchase. You will be entitled to a limited warranty of 3 years only based on serial number (under warranty until September 2023)". *edit, staying with Seasonic. Makes it easier with cable compatibility. 🍁🇨🇦

Corsair RM850x working like a charm for at least half a year. They have 4 pcie connections on the PSU itself, and comes with 3 cables but you can buy an extra. That’s already a lot of connections especially if you add splitters. The temperature is cool and it’s basically noiseless. I also have a Corsair HX850 which is very similar. From the EU.

pretty sure Seasonic uses same manufacturer as Corsair for PSUs. My gaming computers have only ever had Corsair units... (even fried a TX750 floppy connector, cut that strand off and still used it for 6 years after that) Evga is a great value for 1kw units though, with lots of PCIe for an ATX unit

I'm in the USA; My favorite PSUs currently are the Dell PowerEdge server PSUs paired with the ParallelMiner X15 breakout board, specifically the 1050w model. They're of course cheaper than ATX PSUs and cheaper than HP branded ones due to being lesser known; I'm a newer miner and so I'm still trying to save costs to put into more GPUs. Also, the 1050w I believe runs at 1000w on its 120v line which was particularly important for me before I installed a 240v circuit in my home. There are also other models going all the way up to 2400w, but those models do not perform as well on 120v and are meant for 208-240v inputs. The X15 board is fairly basic and does not have motherboard or CPU headers so I currently combine them with low watt ATX power supplies.

The majority of my power supplies are HP 1200 watt Platinum PSU's, and since my outlets supply 122 volts, that makes them output 900 Watts on my GPU rigs; on my FPGA and ASIC units I use, and have had very good luck with the Bitmain APW3++ PSU, which provides good clean power; I also use the APW3++ on a x8 RTX 3070 Gamming X Trio rig, because I had to use x1 EVGA 850w G2 for the mobo, and x2 HP 1200w server psu's, one for the cards, and one for the risers, and that kept the load low enough to eliminate the fan pitch on server psu from sounding like the twin turbos on my Z06, which I switched out for one Bitmain APW3++ PSU unit; I got them all pretty cheap during off market prices. However, I sure could use another PSU; as I have a few cards laying around here and there I cannot power right now. USA Peace

I use ATX EVGA power supplies for all my rigs and have had no issues with any of them. Most are 1000W but have some 850W. Some have been running for 4 years. I am from USA

USA here, I've been using EVGA supernova g5 psu's. I got 2 of them for my first rig, haven't had any problems with them. I like the thicker power cables compared to other psu's that I have bought. Thanks for the great content!

I like the compact efficiency of the hp server psu's . Seem way more functional for a solid mining setup. Here in the U.S. we just cant seem to get a gpu for a reasonable price with rx580 4gb selling for 400

I have used rm 850x for a year at 90 percent. Those things just work. Octo server psu are quiet interesting tho, like how they show branch usage. Evga 1300s are gonna be used in the 20 GPU experiment rack rig, currently running a mini doge 😅

I've been lucky so far with EVGA 1300 and 850 watt power supplies. They are very quiet and run cool. I do not turn on the ECO mode where the fan comes on and off- I let the fans run, low, slow and cool 24/7. I'm in the USA near Memphis, TN David

I like the ATX kind of PSU really because it's what I know the best, but I'm looking into getting server power supplies because they're more compact. I'm in the USA.

Hey RPM! Canada here, my first ever power supply was a 850W seasonic which ran find for 2 years. I still have it as a backup (or a new build), but I lean towards the Corsair and EVGA series now. Mainly the 1000W Corsair and 1200-1300W EVGA G series. I just trust a more recognized brand, plus I see alot of miners/content creators using them, I'm a follower. HAHA, This is my edited comment after getting to the end of the video regarding the 1600W mining cave PSU. Always watch your stuff till the end. Great vidz keep it up.

From USA TX - Power supply of choice is a server 750w with the breakout boards running in parallel. The 750w can get loud when started but gets quieter after 5-10 minutes. No nearly as loud as the large Server PSU's. I've had good luck with HP's. I have some 750w Lite-on's from parallel miner and they all produce a high pitched whine that drives me nuts.

HP common slot server PSU, specifically 750W versions. Very cheap, efficient, very easy to get in the US. USA

The EVGA 1000pq is my favorite power supply. Platinum with plenty of power for lower power cards. I'm in the United States.

Hey RPM, fellow Canadian from CANADA! I like the XPG CORE Reactor 850Watt 80+ gold in conjunction with a HP server psu (750W or 1200W). the XPG is 10 years warranty, cheap price but not alibaba cheap LOL. The server psu I like the fact that it provides a lot of 6+2 cables. I usually put 1 power hungry card of the 850w (3080ti for example) and the rest of the server psu ( 3070s,1070s, etc). Edited my comment to add the edited part. LOL

I use a corsair rmx1200w psu to power my mining rig. It does the job and never gave me any problems, and its 10-year warranty is a bonus. I will be needing to get another bigger or a second smaller psu because I am running this psu at about 1050w which is not respecting the 80% rule. Good luck everyone. -Canada

I have been using all the Evga atx power supplies, they seem to be rock solid. I recently changed to the server psus just because they had so many more pcie outputs for all the new 30 series cards. Great video as always! USA

5:22 RPM, Seasonic is one of the best if not THE best psu brand in the world, the components they make are top class. u've just been unlucky, it can happen to all brands sadly. EVGA, Corsair and Phantek are working with Seasonic and uses their components.

Server power supplies for the win. Designed for 24/7 operation. Tons of pcie cables due to breakout boards + metering options. Plus you can easily daisy-chain them. USA

Seasonic is one of the best if not the actual best consumer level (ATX) PSU manufacturer. ASUS Thor, Antec Signature, Phantek Revolt, NZXT, Corsair AXi, EVGA G6/P6, etc. These EXPENSIVE psus are all manufacturered by Seasonic. For Server PSU, Delta, Liteon are the most common (HP 1200W are made by either one). FSP and Chicony are also very good.
