26:10 As you can see, it looks like Reprise will be remake(?). Currently, it includes everything from AE to KFW.(KFW is level 15, others are level 30) I've been playing it myself, and it doesn't seem like the levels have changed that much (Plant has changed a bit).

My favorite mod out of all of them is definitely PVZ2 Altverz. It's like a true successor to PVZ1 due to all the small and BIG changes to the PVZ2 gameplay. My second favorite is probably Requiem, due to being similar to Altverz in terms of sun meta and other factors except aimed towards more intermediate players. As for my third favorite, I think Reflourished would fit that bill due to expanding upon the original game with new content and levels.

Too bad Grind Thousand isn't in the list, it was my personal favorite. It had fun plant reworks and loaded content-wise with 500+ levels, I mean it's the base for Requiem after all.

Great vid. For me, I think that Shuttle can be on A- or B tier due devs *can't fix the optimization issue since they don't know what is the cause of it* so you can't play Shuttle on phones that have under 6gb+ ram (and acording to some persons, under 6gb ram phones do not exist in china so none chinese players get laggy experience in that mod). And if Shuttle's english translation is weird in the future then do not blame me for it lol.

Pvz 2 chronos very underrated, i really like the mod its so sad it already discontinued. I think because the mod creator is now a science teacher or something, i forgor. I hope someday someone gonna continue the mod. But yeah its a low chance that can happen i guess

@@Marce_G. So, the mod I'm most grateful towards is probably Eclise beta (despite all the drama and etc etc), because it introduced me to PvZ mods. But going by quality and what I like now it would be, in no particular order: -Chronoscapade (it's just fun, the difficulty is nice, the plant selection is great, the zombie variety is also great. I dunno, I like it) -Requiem (The difficulty is ON POINT, it's just what I love, it's strategic and very fun) -Garden Rush (I guess it's just a demo, but I loved the concept) AltverZ and Reflourished are mods I also love, but right now I feel those are the ones I like the most

To be honest, I feel that Requiem is the single most polished and engaging mod in terms of gameplay. I enjoyed a lot more than I did Reflourished, and I can even get people liking it better than Altverz. I still like altverz better though, because the priorities of that mod make it feel like the *real* successor to the first Plants vs Zombies, and I adore it.

7:34 you don't know those beta days where starfruit, rotobaga, pre rework reed and homing dominates the game even after a dozen nerfs, 1.15k sun powered dusk just shreds anything enters the lawn, and sunflower was so cheap and spammable to the point you don't need walls or stallers for defense and get a lot of sun if survives. Players were so used to these and got mad when gp made some radical changes. Repeater was barely changed at all though. I agree with alpha levels design being very questionable. Half of adventure feels like plant intro and the rest were being too gimmicky and risky to use unfamiliar plants and tiers. Beta levels were more open and sandbox like with vanilla rules aside from few infamous and later levels which why more people liked it.

For me, reflourished is B tier as I don’t like vanilla due to poor level design and I couldn’t reuse my save file. Reflourished also has some questionable level design choices themselves at times ex: having 50% of some expansions being given plants or conveyor levels. Though I will admit Holiday Mashup is REALLY good.

I agree that PVZ2 Reflourished is a very great mod, but I really HATE its balancing! Winter Melon Pult used to be a very balanced plant (Some might find it OP) and it is basically just Melon Pult + Snow Pea. Yeah, I know it is a bit OP for some cases since it deals heavy damage in an area and chills them, but it has a lot of weaknesses and nerfing it to have a very long cooldown and a shorter chill duration while also adding 150 sun cost to it made it just unplayable. The one thing I can't understand is why wouldn't they nerf Melon Pult? That plant deals the same damage and costs less sun without the chill ability... It wasn't touched and now Snow Pea had a buff that made it free... Feels like they just want to make Winter Melon Pult unplayable. Coconut Cannon pretty much does the same thing but with more massive damage while costing less sun and not having any chilling ability and a bit moderate recharge; why is it untouched? I thought they were trying to balance plants? This mod is a bit incomprehensible ngl

Eclise Beta is more akin to a Hard mod which is what it was originally. I say it works decently as one even if it has some bad level design occasionally. I would say tiering is cool even if I kind of mixed on the idea tbh
