I did flush little bit differently. After removing old coolant, I poured destiled water, with sodium bicarbonate, and did twice such flushes. After that, third flush was just destiled water. Then I poured in new coolant (G11 for my car), and added Liqui Moly kuhler dichter that you have used. Never had any problems ever since.

2 gal of white vinegar: $6. Drain and fill once. Fill with vinegar. Run it for a day to 3. Let system sit/operate full of it for 72 hours and rinse 3 times, refill with coolant 1:1 mix.

Great video. You mention the 19 year old fluid if I'm not mistaken. Id assume at that point the antifreeze was acidic. That may be the reason for the solids in the bottom of the flushed antifreeze.

That is a good point. The car was built in 2004 as an 05 model and has never had the coolant changed, so it had ample time to degrade. In fact some coolant either evaporated or was consumed as I realized my coolant reservoir was almost empty. Thank you for the compliment and for subbing! - Owen

The solids in the flushed coolant are probably aluminum from the engine block and heads. Nineteen years is WAY TOO LONG to run coolant !

Indeed it was, I am surprised it was not sludged up any worse.

Thank you a lot for sharing this video. Great Test. I will definitely consider buying this product in case of leakage on my current Car.

it seems the coolant got darker not coz it was dirty rather coz of the solvent . A dirty coolant world be dark without the adding solvent

Just use Evans no water Coolant. It's expensive but you'll never need to change it again

2:30 You’ve got wayy wayyy to many things going on inside your radiator. New coolant is going to have rust and corrosion inhibitors.

Change the rad and water pump.

Does the radiator stop leak contain fibers or any solid particles?
@OwenLucas Жыл бұрын
They are not fibers, but look like micro plastic particles. Some of them have a pearlescent sheen to them. It is definitely not a mimetic polyalloy like the T1000. 😅

hahaha yes, its like a slime when its new. It reacts chemically by temperature, and if there is any leaks, it turns into rubber by contact with oxygen.@@OwenLucas

Empty old coolant and replace with distilled water and flush . Then empty , flush with clean water and refill. Liquid Moly is crap 💩
