Good Idea - how about a Pickle Jar - Drill a suitable holes in the metal screw lid & jb weld or pop rivet the the metal filter threaded intake to it 🤔

I've used Rislone engine treatment for years. it's not so aggressive. I dont want blocked oil galleries. I use it in the notorious gm 3.4 V6 . 260.000 miles, no timing chain problems.

*Just use kerosene/diesel mix it with engine oil before oil change. You can check STP Engine Flush’s MSDS, it just KEROSENE.* 😂😂😂

Great maintenance video. I have a small yard and follow this process in the fall just before putting the mower into storage. I have a single blade mower and sharpen it if required. I run the mower dry and recycle any left over gas. In the spring I add 94 Octane Chevron gas and it’s ready to use.

Would it make more sense to drain the old oil. Fill up with the intermediate oil and use the flush then. Drain and full up with premium oil ??

I did not know this when I bought a used CRV; I wish I had known, as I had to pay $550$ to have my vehicle towed home and, two weeks later, had another nail puncture. Fortunately, with the second puncture, the tire did not go flat, and I was home and could take it in for a plug. I travel a lot, so not having a spare is not a good thing, so I went to a salvage yard and bought one that fits. I carry a dog kennel in the cargo space of my vehicle, so now I have to drive with the back seat down, eliminating the ability to carry passengers. I tried to put it behind the passenger seat but the front seat must be moved forward

IIRC, the UK version of the CRV has a spare tire. Somehow they fitted it into the underside of the trunk space. You could probably do it but you’d have to buy all of the trim and parts from a UK Honda dealer.

To be honest you'd be better not leaving oil in for 20k miles, regardless of what it claims. Oil dilutes with petrol or diesel over time, especially in higher mileage older engines. As a general rule of thumb, if you intend to keep the vehicle change oil and filter every 5 to 6 k miles. Once the vehicle is over 100k, do more frequently.

Good video Sir. It is the first one that took you to the infotainment system to reset the parameters 👍🇺🇸

I remember changing oil only after like 800 miles on port injected naturally aspirated engine. It didn't darked that much like oil after your sludge remover test. So I suppose that sludge remover still does something.

If you change the oil filter before you pour in the LM , i think it will have the same effect as what your try’s too do , run at idle for 15-20 mins. , drain oil , change to a brand new filter , put in new oil , and Ceratec it , if above 100,000 , good to go
@u8myufo24 күн бұрын
Quickest and cheapest method is simply fill the engine up with the reccomended quantity but use diesel, will get it clean in no time after letting it run for ten minutes.
