I also own all four of these trucks and completely agree with your assessment. The most recent when I got was the mt410 and until then I use the max the most because it was the most durable but the mt410 has better drivability than the Arma with the durability of the traxxas.

I went with the Tekno MT410 just for the building of it, it was something I really loved about RC Helis I used to fly, so I went with it, at the same time I know nothing about RC cars/truck so building it teaches you how to fix it too.

Great video! Not surprised the Tekno won, like you said, bit of an unfair advantage. I'd probably take the standard Maxx though, not necessarily the best stunt truck but it does pretty much everything you want it to and the most durable RC that Traxxas has 👍

I have all these trucks besides corally. I just added the tekno to my collection and I love it. One thing I don't like is the center diff mount I don't know why they made basically a squareish ovalish bearing holder I don't get why they couldn't make a full contact bearing holder. It's never failed just odd to me to have the center diff only held in by a few spots touching the bearings. Anyway the maxx is super tough but over priced I put a 6s hobbywing system in mine it just drops right in and really woke it up also wide aarms are a must or you will spend more than half your time upside down. I love my outcast! But you will need upgrades also to get it reliable. The only trucks I have that really didn't need any upgrades was the tekno mt410 and the team magic e6iii v-gen that's my all time favorite toughest truck you need to try it bro! You can get the team magic e6iii v-gen as a kit and the parts are just amazing! The drive shafts and diffs are just huge and the metal is really good quality I've beat on mine for two years and only broke the wing twice and rounded out a wheel hex.

Great review. I'd argue that the MT410 is less valuable than the Maxx. It doesn't come with electronics and you have to spend hours putting it together, instead of being a roller like an EXB. Time is valuable, that's why RTR's sell way more than kits.

Tekno is the way to go in my opinion. When u buy a rtr u get the bottom of the barrel for shocks electronics etc. Arrmas radio is horrible Traxxas electronics shocks parts are horrible. idk about tc stuff. U will eventually spend the same if u buy a kit or a rtr by the time replace all the garbage a rtr comes with. Of u buy a kit then most of the upgrades are already on the vehicle. Then u can buy the motor esc/servo that fits your needs. I always buy kits or like my rustler 4x4 I bought it brushed because I knew I was putting associated shocks on there because Traxxas sucks and mamba x power plant.

Once again, great video,. I have an arrma kraton and love the longer wheelbase the option of the longer over my mt410 sometimes. The only problem is I keep blowing out a front diff cup. I've set the droop to minimum and it keeps on happening. Frustrating. I love my mt410 for wheelies flips and tricks and limited spaces. But I also have a problem with that, the rear diff disintegrates inside the box. I have an ET 48 on the way. I built an eb48 2.0. an ovon it's never been driven it seems bulletproof. I'm really in hopes that the ET is the same. Any suggestions or advice about the other issues would be greatly appreciated.
@RazorRC3 жыл бұрын
for the Kraton, do you mean the outdrive? check for a cracked diff bulkhead as this allows the diff to move in the bulkhead. also try replacing the A-arms as they get mushy over time and twist too much allowing the driveshaft to come into the outdrive at a weird angle.
@GreatLakesRC3 жыл бұрын
Figured that's how this would go 👍 MT410 is king. You gotta try it on 7s with a 1700kv motor.

Hi Razor. I remember you said the Notorious was a bit slow on 4S. I see the Notorious is listed with weight 5.17 kg, could that be one of the reasons? Also could you talk a bit about why the Notorious is above 5.0 kg? The wheels maybe or more metal parts? When you add 6S batteries the weight would get even higher. I like the Notorious but the weight is something that makes me think twice.
