I really prefer the beaches west of La Libertas town, La Libertad town is too chaotic and you go only if absolutely necessary for shopping. Yes, anything west of La Libertad is super nice, El Zonte is beautiful with cliffs, same further west. To the east you have the large stretches of sandy beaches like Costa del Sol, and even further east the beaches are less crowded and also beautiful.

El Salvador is very small, the most recommended thing to do is rent an airbnb in the capital San Salvador, the beaches are only half an hour away and if you stay in San Salvador you can go out to know the best of the center, north and west of the country and return the same day without missing the comforts that the city offers

Great question. The farther we got away from the airport, the harder it became for us to find Ubers. In fact, when we booked our Uber from El Zonte to the airport, we noticed the Uber driver was driving the wrong way. When we asked him if he was coming to get us, he said we were too far way, but he didn't cancel and he didn't let us know. All we could do was laugh at the circumstances, but fortunately our hotel had an airport shuttle. So the reason we didn't pick up an Uber or a cab is because we couldn't find any to pick us up 😂It was a crazy, but fun day 😃 Thanks for the question 🙌
