Lumens = overall light output, candela = light intensity/brighter hotspot. (I.e.)A candle is about 10 lumens and 1 candela (or 1 candlepower), a 100mw green laser is 10 lumens but 5 million candela. Battery life is also insanely important, along with spill and flood. Many factors should be taken into consideration when picking a light. The mission will change what will work best. I think you had some great recommendations in the video, but i just wanted to bring to ‘light’ some of the facts about lumens and candela.

Eh. I kinda disagree with the theory that you need a flashlight to light up the night sky with to shoot over 100yds. These serve more of a purpose of clearing houses and structures where you have contact 10-50 ft away. Not yards lmao. It would also be a pretty terrible idea for a setup for outside night shooting when you should be looking more into therms (scope wise perhaps) and not making yourself a huge target to everyone in a half mile radius.. just my thoughts on it 🤣.

My light is about 4in long and a half in in diameter, it fit perfectly in a crappy bb gun scope mount affixed to my rifles hand guard in position where my off hand thumb is right at the button. The business end of the light has a dial built in allowing you to select between 1000, 500, and 350 lumens. The caps are sealed with an o-ring and the battery is a 14500 lithium ion rechargeable and removable unit. I went the off brand off label way because I own a body shop and got this exact light from a customer as a thank you for some off book work I did and the thing was just unkillable. Anyone who's ever done body work with poly filler or fiberglass knows how much dust is made when you're sanding and that shit gets everywhere. It also kills electronics very easily if it gets in them guts😮 and I can't tell you how many lights, phones, etc... that I've killed shit out of, it's almost as bad as the poop smelling sand over in the middle east. For those of us that aren't law enforcement and don't want to point a loaded weapon at someone for purposes of illumination, I believe spending 350 or even 200 on a rifle light is a little excessive. Imho. And those of us that live in oppressive states, REALLY don't want to point a loaded weapon at anyone. So, I have a $25 dollar light on my rifle that lights up my house pretty well. I do, however, own expensive flashlights for handheld use. I also do not have a weapon light on any handgun for the reasons mentioned.
