This is originally an American design by Eugene Stoner, but with a Piston versus the Gas system. I used to work in the firearms industry and actually met some reps from HK and attended the Indy 500 with one. Had a great time. All HK products are outstanding as are most German firearms. I'm a huge fan of Walther Pistols as well. That all said, being a red blooded American I still believe the best firearms designer in history was probably John Moses Browning. ❤ Good video. ❤

We love German made weapons in the United States but I just wish they didn't cost so much. The pistols aren't that bad it's the rifles. A gun I have wanted for a long time made by H&K goes all day long for $4000.00 The H&K MR762A1, and it's $7000.00 for the H&K MR762A12 LRP III. “You can have it fast, you can have it good, you can have it cheap: pick two” , PSA, Aero make guns that aren't meant to stand more then a couple thousands rounds. On my HK M27 IAR, I ran over 5000 rounds in a few months, it was cleaner then my M16A4 with 100 rounds while being more accurate using standard issued AP/API rounds. PSA and Aero aren't doing this level of quality control.

@@namenotfound8747Neither here nor there. A vintage Colt SP-1 or M16A1 will easily push out several thousand rounds before cleaning. My brother in law and his company cleaned their M16s and M60s before dark (25th Inf Div Jan-Dec 69)every day without fail. VC would only work in the dark and if you were tagged for outside the wire patrol that night you better be flippin ready. I wonder how this rifle compares to the new (for the US) SIG M7 battle rifle in 6.8 x 51? If made in the 6.8 cartridge will its barrel have the same round count lifetime? How will the action hold up? Once again the very ergonomic AR format WITH a piston driven action wins out over the dirty and hot direct impingement action. That's why I love my AUG.

Actually in reality Ugene took the Canadian Design and the FN design and tried but failed, to copy it in the M16 and all it's failed variants over 50 years hence there are so many of them because US firearms are ruvery poorly made. This is well known fact. If you look it up you will find it says exactly "Eugene Morrison Stoner (November 22, 1922 - April 24, 1997) was an American machinist and firearms designer who is most associated with the development of the ArmaLite AR-15 rifle that was redesigned and modified by Colt's Patent Firearm Company for the United States military as the M16 rifle it does not say he invented or designed it in any way. He simply took the Canadian Idea and design and tried to make it better which sadly did not happen and resulted in the US military suffering break downs and losses in huge numbers due to the poor quality and unreliability of the AR and the M16 platforms. just for integrity i am not a Sniper i am a Shooter the difference is the school and the Patch i am an expert at 39 out of 40 hits if you ask me i am a far Better Shooter as i am not focused on an isolated target i am focused on the target and the peripheral Dynamic of T.O.O. Targets of Opportunity once the mission is complete these specs have to be calculations and everything all that a shooter does is the Logistics Orientation from the hand grip to the end of the stock can supplement carrying configuration look at the Geometry of the tail of the weapon you have max with of 2 inches and a length estimation of 11 to 14 inches look at the modulation of the system and consider the compass the range finder and you calculator then a survival kit knife first aid and fire starter inside the armature of the Body of the weapon you can tightly roll a wet weather poly material that is water resistant on one side sponge like on the opposite side then you can collect the dew and ring it out into your canteen

I wonder if there is already an AI trained for the development of rifles and guns. As token fed all blueprints, scans and specs of existing weapons aswell vids about their usage. The AI would need to be aware of human physis and its limitations. What would it come up with? Would it be able improve a lot or even find complettly new features?

I'm convinced that Europe needs to have a collective defense. A defense that the US is of couse a part. I think it would mean a more efficient use of defense budgets. The 2% of GDP recommendation for NATO? Is it practical? Could European armed forces be more integrated? I mean why should the UK, Poland, Germany, etc., be using different MBTs? And for other armoured vehicles like IFVs? I certainly understand that there's differences in terrain, etc., but, there's not likely to be a massive armoured invasion of Portugal and Spain is there?

well and why went the british army to Hecklar & Koch with their L95 because their manufactures couldnt handle the problems? HK weapons are know for good weapons and pistols for big army's not for specialised things like a DMR or even a Sniperweapon.

@@Pio-xn7cs Well the G95 is a great system but its still a M4/M16 design which is meanwhile old. -its still a 5,56mm caliber - you can only add HK stuff on it - no M-lock - the scope is only 1x to 4x -no folded stock (you cannot make it more compact) Its cheap and our former defense minister had no clue about any weapons. The HK 433 had been the way to go.. and will come later defently.. and i will bet in a 6.8mm version.

A little inferiority complex Americans have when it comes to this. They have to mention it under every HK416 related video even though no one denies it is a AR-18/15 hybrid. It's like someone going into the comments on American car videos and pointing out the fact the Diesel engine is a German design. Thank Rudolf Diesel.
