I was thinking that,too. He was so smart and articulate, it's easy to forget how very young he was. He only lived to 23, and was even much younger here, giving really insightful answers.

I was raised around drug addicts. There is absolutely no way he's high as hell. High as hell would be him comatose on the floor. I found him to be quite intelligent, lucid, and in touch with his emotions. If anything, he's the opposite as high as hell. He couldn't be more sober. Likely more sober than the rest of us, when he was alive. What an inspiration. His light was too bright for this place.

I didn't think the questions were "dumb" at all. It's obvious this interviewer is sincerely interested in getting to know him, and I think she did a good job of bringing him out. He seemed guarded at the start, but you can see him relax and become engaged with the interviewer as he adds more and more detail to his answers.

First off, Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise, and Brad Pitt were all 7-8 years older than River. Out of those 3, Tom Cruise was the only really well established actor at the time of River's death. And you obviously haven't seen many of River's movies, he was just as every bit as good of an actor as those three, if not better. When he died he had numerous offers for multiple roles, and James Cameron even admitted to initially wanting River to play Jack in Titanic. River was a good actor, that's all.

I think he was just nervous in this video, he always seemed quite shy and reserved. I am also shy, I suffer from social phobia, and when I talk to new people, I usually think of what to say, start to stutter, not keep eye contact, use my hands to ''speak'', and basically just struggle to get my words out. He basically reminds me of me, when talking to people who I am not comfortable with.

This is the first time I ever saw this interview, I was only a few years younger than him and I thought he was fabulous. The world was a sadder place when he passed away. None of us knew him or can pretend to know him, but my heart goes to juaquin and his whole family. because he was so talented and had so much in his future he was taken way too soon regardless of the reason why he's still gone:(

The tradegy of this, in seeing this great interview, is seeing so loud and clear the potential for greatness this young man had. It's unfortunate that fame can attract hanger-oners that just want to party... and suck you right into their dark underworld. They can eventually make you feel immortal, especially when you are young and feel that way already. I wish his true friends wold have been around him, to influence him, instead of the demons that watched him die. Rest in peace River.

Look, you can believe whatever you want to believe about him. But from experience being around drug addicts and having experimented with HARD drugs myself - I know this IS NOT the face of someone on hard drugs. For all we know that very night he went out and got high as a kite but in this interview he is NOT. I know he had a problem, a serious one. I now he hid it well but its a fact that he was secretive about it. His MOPI interview - there he is high as hell for sure.
