FYI Irobot is no longer making the S9+ although you can still buy one. In 3 years I have gone thru 5 of them. Their cleaning is amazing but in very dirty environments with a lot of dust the unit will fail sooner than later. The cliff sensors always accumulate dust and blinds the robot to the point it's useless. If you dont.mind spending tons of time on tech support, waiting for a replacement or your place never gets very dusty then this robot cleans like no other. On a good note irobot's staff are very patient and helpful so it could be worse. They replaced the S9+ with a J9+ getting rid of the square front which seems to have contributed to the failures. Hope this helps.

Honestly, the thousand dollar one me listen to its features the one I just picked up a $20 still goes for over 200 is three years old and it does everything the robot vacuum for $1000 does it also won’t fall upstairs. It also increase suction when it needs to it can go over carpets of all sizes without issue ones with tassels no problem, yeah it doesn’t have a self emptying bin but who cares when it’s literally $200 instead of 1000. It’s the Kyvol E20. It doesn’t have the rubber brushes so you know but it’s still a great option. It works with Alexa. It works with Google. You have an app where you can map out everything.

I am currently looking to purchase my second robotic vacuum cleaner. The first one (Eufy X8) only lasted 12 months and I am looking to replace it with something similar. I don't need mopping and while the self cleaning is a nice touch I do not want to be paying extra for bags. So, the Shark certainly looks right for me but not seeing a lot of reviews for it anywhere else.

I need a shop that that does this with the chipper shredder in it. I wish somebody come out one that was hard-core four-wheel-drive, because not all of us have these big beautiful homes. Some of us live in sawdust covered shacks, and still would like to have one.

In the video you advertise the Roomba i7+ but the link you provide below is not related to that model at all since the J7+ is different from the i7+

And roomba doesn’t learn, it keeps bumping into skirtings and furniture with full force even though they haven’t been moved in 6 months we had it. My Ecovacs now doesn’t do that from day 1.

I just got a robot vacuum that I’ve been looking up in the videos are insanely good for it yeah it’s a couple years old but I only paid $20 and the vacuum still goes over 200 even though it’s a few years old I watch videos for the iRobot and honestly the one I haveis better than the ones that are going 700 right now so it’s not always about the brand name. Remember that you can get a good vacuum for less than half the price of the expensive ones.

I have recently bought a Roborock S8. There is a problem with its wall and obstacle detection system. It cannot detect the low height objects close to walls and doors. For example, low height cornice around walls are not detected and the robot keeps hitting them and makes odd movements. This result in: - scraches on the device body and cornice - mopping/vacuuming takes longer due to the unnecessary movements - higher energy usage - dirt trails remain on the floor after mopping I contacted Roborock support. They said that this has not been reported by anybody else so they will take no action! These kind of problems can be usually resolved by software/firmware updates. Ofcourse, if they want to fix it. As a workaround, I edited the map and draw virtual walls manually around the house. Unfortunatly there is also a stupid limit of 10 for virtual walls! so, could not cover all the walls. Besides, this will not work if the walls are not strait.

Try an iRobot Roomba Combo j9+
@aidinbaran11 ай бұрын
@@SlothersWrittingCo I had a look at that one, too. I was mostly worried about it's moping performance. since the moping pad is small. Talking about the Roborock, I am disappointed about their support and way they tackle the issues. The did not even bother themselves to check and test the issue themselves! instead I sent them videos and photos.

If only this video was made after the iRobot Roomba Combo j9+ was released. That would’ve scored first place by far. Neat video, nice review.

Nope, still hopeless as no lidar and no moving mop plus all the outdated roomba navigation issues. No live maps, weak battery, super weak suction, takes 3 times as long to clean the same area due to weak navigation, and won’t work in The dark. Sold my j7 + braava combo after 6 months ownership for half the price. Got a debot much better.

The one that was $1000 and they said certain things didn’t do great. I’m sorry if I’m spending $1000 on a vacuum I wanted it to be 100% perfect on every single thing it does because $1000 is a lot.

I’ve been hunting for a robot vacuum for a while now, but their own advertising material is BS 😖 In your trials, did one stand out specifically to deal with long human hair? I’m talking about around 60cm long here. Not ‘long for pet hair” long. The manufacturers idea of long and mine don’t seem to mesh. 🤦🏼♀
@SlothersWrittingCo Жыл бұрын
You should get an iRobot Roomba Vaccum. The newer models, like the i series, s series and j series have anti hair tangle brushes. Specifically the s9+. Other brands have similar technologies, but iRobot preforms the best. The company is also a more experienced brand, having created the original robot vacccum.

Ok so I was thinking of a few in depth comments I'd like to make concerning these mop vacuums and a few other observations. 1st after watching more than it seems like 5 hrs of these mop/vac robots I'm not buying. Dreametech, Ecovacs, Roborock, Shark, Irobot, Eufy and many many more. They all seem like crap to me. Each and everyone has some major flaws. And I think the manufacturer's are to blame. They are keeping it that way so everyone can charge 10xs more than what products worth. When there is a clear winner everyone will have to buy causing law of supply and demand to force prices down. Sort of like our corrupt pharm industry. Until a generic is forced by our gov't. I really want a mop vacuum. And I must thank these vids for wasting my time. Because on one of them that puts products on different tiers told me that one Shark vac I was considering from an infomercial that seemed too good to be true. Is! Even its most advanced vac, I see demonstrated does horrible in corners, and is crap on carpet. I can also see with variances on features, speeds, as well as all other bells and whistles, or lack there of. Like having to manually do this or that. Or having to buy 2 robots one mop and one vac. Not one mop/vac meets standards I want and need. In fact the company dumbed down it's 8 pro version to make you want more rather than giving the consumer what they want. So what's lesson here? None it's all a waste of time. What makes me go out and buy a product? Flawless or close to reviews. I don't want to have to replace every couple of years. For this Cyber Monday I bought a 65 in tv from Samsung. Samsung S90C Series 4K QD OLED TV .It is Consumer Reports top rated at 87 out of 100. But no I don't trust CR as half of what they rate the public hates. So that's where youtube and net come in. To see if anyone comes to a consensus on what's best. The top 3 contenders were SONY worth top quality and price. But some chinese guy said about how it will be perfect when a bug fix comes out. But will it or will SONY force you to buy next tv? And mid priced tier LG and Samsung. It was between Samsung S90C/95 series, LG G3, Sony Bravia XR A95L / or X95L Other than nit picking on the plugs on back, and wanting sound to be like a symphony, or live concert I could not find anything negative on tv I bought. I don't have it yet. But feel confident it won't dissapoint. With tvs, last one I bought in 2012 was an LG smart 50 inch tv, which I had zero complaints on. Except for the weird shaped boat like remote that would fall off everything and get sandwiched between the cushions of couch. That thing died on me in 2022 last Summer while I was watching it and falling asleep . It was 615pm and I heard a loud pop, and then it died. My mom died of covid-19 in Apr 2022, so while I was going past the old town where I once lived NW of NYC. I took my mom's 43 LG tv. I really don't like anything, but memory of mom. As I never changed the NYC tv line up for Boston here where I now live. In comparison. My old 50 in LG 2012 tv cost $1,100 + tax. It had 120 hz, and was great both in color, and for sports live action. Zero motion blur. Or any artificial effects. Mom's tv, I think maybe she paid $500 or less for. Is smart tv from 2018 I looked up. It has ok color, but blacks suck and many colors get washed out. Except for graphics on tv news for ex. Those look fine. The tv in higher colors looks unnatural. So mode I have it in looks like a color newspaper at best. My old 50 in LG smart tv had vibrant everything. I got dozens of comments on it how it looked like you were in the a movie theater. No joke. Story here was I was in BJ's warehouse in 2012. I couldn't find any tv of maybe 70 on display, that really popped with colors detail and stood out. Until I walked around corner and saw 2. This one for $1,100 and one for $2,500 in 2012. This one I said I want it today. And bought it. I got $200 back on tv. That paid for 8% NY State taxes, oh joy! One I replaced it for was 19 inch tv I bought in Canada for $100. Which was maybe $60 US because back in 1998. US currency was worth $1.60 CDN. or Canada $ was only worth 63 cents US. As long as you shopped where locals shopped, and avoided touristy areas. You didn't overpay in Canada. In touristy area everything was double priced. And banks and welcome areas jacked up fees and downgraded US dollar any chance they got to get even with USA on how they felt jipped by American currency back then. Not related I went to Canada to get lasik on my eyes. One time ever I can recall. I overpaid a little. As CDN $ was worth $1.07 US! I think its like 85 cents US now. On your eyes you don't want a coupon. You want best care you can get. Canada was leap years ahead of US on lasik correction surgery in 2007. And I lived 90 mins from Kingston Ontario at time. One last lesson about my now 2 yr old laptop. I bought as Black Friday deal got about $1500 off. Paid $3495 for I love it. It was the right choice I hope it lasts 10 yrs. Lenovo Legion 7 not AMD but Microsoft Intel gaming laptop top of line Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU graphics card. Paired with 11th gen Intel processor at 11980hk @3.3 Ghz speed, with cores up to 5.0 Ghz. And its a powerhouse to be reckoned with. Still 2 years later. That was best lap top money could buy in Dec of 2021. I even got a free 5 yr full extended warranty that's good til 2026. When I buy something I look for 10 or more yrs. Even if I pay top dollar. I want it to be something that lasts the test of time. So in concluding all these mop/vacs sadly are still junk before 2024. Will they finally release monopoly to make one people really want, or play games for next 5 yrs making record profits? I hope not later. As I want to not have to clean floors anymore.
