Surprising to see the Warning on this list. Not too many people find this band, because they tend to listen to the usual stuff. KMF is my favourite album this year and TW my favourite band in decades. You seem to know your music because you can rank 40 albums. And I’m glad you mentioned the sisters’ songwriting skills. The Warning brings so much fresh air in today’s rock music.

The Warning isn't a "newer band." They've actually been around for eleven years; they literally started as kids. Their first album, "XXI Century Blood" was self-released as an independent band at the end of March 2017. "Keep Me Fed" is their FOURTH album; the second since signing with Lava Records in 2020. Their current ages are 24, 22 and 19.
@jcrockandmetalreviews7 күн бұрын
Yeah, you have a good point. I just meant they were newer compared to the other bands that I mentioned which have been making music for over 30 years.
@gregoryvlchek2697 күн бұрын
@jcrockandmetalreviews , and they are better songwriters (and have been) than many of their older peers on the list. To me, their compositions on their second "Queen Of The Murder Scene" album are absolutely astounding, given their ages at the time they wrote them. That's what studying music theory and composition at Boston's world-renowned, prestigious Berklee College of Music at ages 10, 13 and 15 will get ya!

I prefer The Warning's previous 2 albums to Keep Me Fed. But it's a very good album. I tend to prefer the songs they didn't designate as singles. It is less thematic than their earlier stuff but still has a distinct sensibility. As usual for The Warning, the songs are at their best live.
