If you are into death metal you have these bands: Golgotha from 1992 and still active, Avulsed from 1991 and they will release a new album in March, Bloodhunter from 2008, with a female growler. Wormed, brutal death metal from 1998 and they released a new album last year by Season of Mist. Check also Diabulus in Musica, a symphonic/power metal band from 2006 and their last album was released by Napalm Records.

I really like the album, catchy songs and great guitar playing. Agree that’s it’s probably a bit on the long side. The Six Hundred is a historical song based on the Charge of the Light Brigade during the Crimean War (same battle as Maiden’s The Trooper). Enjoyed the review.

Mago de Oz has some really catchy stuff on that latest album. If you like Angelus Apatrida, you need to listen to the song "Sharpen the Guillotine". Probably one of the catchiest thrash songs i've ever heard. Dark Moor I liked all the way up to the Tarot album...then they fell off for me.

Right after our recent collab with Live Listen Erased, MORE disturbing s**t emerged regarding Tim Lambesis. A few days after our collab was recorded for the episode of "Controversial Artists: Where Do You Draw the Line", a video began circulating that showed Lambesis abusing his [now ex] wife and recently, ANOTHER video surfaced, this time an animal abuse video involving Lambesis attacking his ex-spouse's dog. Personally, I think Lambesis should've stayed behind bars after he tried to kill his first wife! Since his imprisonment, Tim has shown no remorse for his crimes. Zach Adkins did a video on Tim abusing his wife and even mentioned him in his "Evil Musicians That People Worshipped" video, which had three artists that you, Live Listen Erased and Hector all covered [one of them was in episode one] in collabs [I was involved talking about two of those in the recent episode]. The three artists were: 1. Ian Watkins [part 1] 2. Vince Neil [part 4] 3. Tim Lambesis [part 4] Wyatt Turner, who runs the channel Wyatt's Metal, ALSO did a video on the whole Tim Lambesis situation back in November and even mentioned him in his "worst crimes in metal" video. Ian Watkins was also mentioned in Wyatt's video as well. And Savox, a British KZbinr known for videos about dark subjects, mentioned Tim Lambesis and Ian Watkins in his first "evil musicians" video.

@jcrockandmetalreviewsКүн бұрын

@hubridgell5583Күн бұрын
@ The Head East version was released in 1978. The Rainbow version was 1979. It was a case of let’s see if we can latch onto something that we know has some guarantee of interest.
@hubridgell5583Күн бұрын
Listening to both versions right now, I can see why the rainbow version has stood the test of time for a classic rock radio staple. In my opinion, the rainbow version has that extra British production and it’s just more finely tuned than the head east version. Which is totally understandable because it’s a big challenge to record a great song the first time. But the next group can take that and add finishing touches to it much easier. Musical history has shown that!

Adriaan Van den Berg joined Whitesnake later in the 80s. I'm more into rock than into metal and I think The Bloody Honkies had a really good hard rock album in 2007. It's 70s style hard rock drifting towards the proto punk rock of the Stooges here and there.
