IN case someone doesn't know this, once you find a mining helmet you can recharge it on the recharging station. It recharges quickly. You can also recharge the metal detector, so don't throw it away when it's spent.

You run the mines like a Boss haha.... here I am bringing like 50 torches n slowly progressing bit by bit killing everything then stopping to eat all the time. Nice video!..... I'm only like 50 hours into this game and loving it, glad I'm a Aussie as it feels like I'm playing in my backyard haha.

Somehow I obtained a candle hat when I began to play so I use it every time I go to the mines, this way you always see what surrounds you even when you’re carrying a ruby and the light doesn’t go off after a while unlike the helmet

Don’t forget you can bring your bike down to the mine and set the ruby on the back no need to head back to the elevator the stack on the back make sure to break your bike before heading back up tho

They're very random and you can find ruby nodes in the treasure rooms sometimes

I’m about 12 hrs in and my first mine run with 4 fruit salad and 40 torches wasn’t anywhere near enough 😂 You stroll through that like its a walk in the park. Weird question, but is one of your folks American? Just cause mostly you sound Aussie as shit, like when you say boogie board, but every once in a while there’s a little American twang to your accent. In chat you said there was a red glow you could see as you approached a ruby

That's true - the rubies give off a small red glow for the single riby sticking out. It doesn't sparkle like ore does, but you can tell that it's red from a distance

idk if im doing something wrong but ive gone into the mines twice and have never found a ruby, do they only spawn later in the game or something? im like 23 hours in so i thought it would be fine.

Some days it is hard to find them. I would suggest trying again but staying out as long as you can. I once had none show up until around 2pm!
