If you don't like the price for items that you carry over your head (bee nests, mu eggs, thunder eggs, fossils and amber, ruby and emerald chunks) you can go back to John's shop the next day and it may be a better price

two lil bits of info, when you ascend a tool to the next rank it repairs to full health so if you have a basic pickaxe use the most damaged to get a full copper one and when the copper one is damaged make it into an iron one, this is the best way to get out every bit of utility out of your tools. and when you are being persued by an animal just make them run into a bigger predator so that you can kill the victor and leave with all the loot

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it but the thunder egg I got I ended up putting it in the radio tower after I repaired it and it cracked the egg immediately and gave me the opal :)

I really think we're gonna need the opal for something important, it can't be just to sell...so I'm keeping mine for now. I think early game when you aren't traveling super far, it's ok to sell your electronics but you're right...DEFINITELY keep the bright wires and discs always. I'd also recommend upgrading your metal detecting skill to the second level so you don't have to carry the metal detector around and you can just see the Xs on the ground.

A tree farm is pretty important if you do not want to run to all the different zones for some random tree you need to build something.

the thunder egg u can throw it off a ledge like 3 or more spaces high and it;ll break after 1 or two throws. don't waste your pick on it.

I mean there are also pearls that you will get from the ocean also not sure if you tried to dig a pit but there is a limit to how far you can dig but then in saying that you can then level out an area with a pit of dirt and then fill it up at the end either by wheelbarrow or placing the dirt next to it then fill it in also if you're farming and got to the point of compost bins capture a heap of roos and as you are doing stuff around the base or within render distance of them you should get them to do the doo doo and use that for fertilizer super helpful and more effecient then the pleeps or vombats

Next time you find a thunder egg, throw it in the teleporter, it will go up, explode and drop the opals. I discovered it by accident. lol

you absolutely can but beware most monsters change their spawn place with a reload so make sure you are far from danger before plopping it down and always go with a weapon in hand bats cant be targeted by concussive force objects so spear is the best alternative, last but not least if you find a big enemy lure it to another species territory, if you have luck they will fight eachother and leave you alone until one is dead, when that happens just kill the other or run

The video is well done but don't put your base anywhere but directly in the middle of the island. The game will change dramatically for you. Trust me. You will have access to 3 or four different biomes within a short walking distance. Palm wood will be close, gumwood, ore will be all around you and each teleport tower will be equal distance from the base. No more hiking from one end of the map to the other to explore. Difference is night and day.

I appreciate the love on the video! you do end up getting a telepad in your town so you can teleport easily from tower to tower so I think you are still free to put your base wherever you end up wanting to place it, but I suppose it is player preference! thanks again, I appreciate it!

that’s a good video idea! Thanks! it does get kinda tricky with them but you basically just have to ask them if they have a job for you every time you see them until they mention wanting to stay then you talk to fletch about deeds

Talk to them and ask them if they have any jobs for you...after a random amount of successful jobs. They will tell you they want to stay. Then you go to the tall hall and get their deed

Guys, forget about farming, forget about bugs and fishes or gathering anything. Just max the mining licence and put your mining entrance on ground. Make sure you have all the "old keys" with you, couple of spears and pickaxes.And dont forget about torches cuz its so damn dark. You can make torches from mangrove sticks that grows in rivers. I suggest to bring at least 200 per tour. You gonna need a sleeping bag and lots of food that replenish stamina and health. Its a super enjoyable experience in mines, but it can turn in to a nightmare in seconds literally. The hounds and crocodiles are nasty and hard to kill, but you can ignore them and run. Most annoying ones are bats, so consider to have a bat to take care of them. If you get used to it, every day you can farm up to 1m dinkum from mines. Cook the iron you dig and sell the iron bars to shop. And you will see car wrecks, you can tear them apart with your pickaxe to get materials like the ones from metal detecting. And the best part is tiny little castles, you gonna need 2 old keys to reach inside. There is a treasure chest inside with a lot of loot. Make sure you max out your inventory slots quickley to get out as much as you can.

comments have more tips than that. what you do there are just normal things anyone will encounter and do just playing normally. Like nobody will try to sell treasures? Same for towers, 100% of players WILL ask themselves what those are and just put items in the tower asks for, inevitably discovering that its a teleporter and voila, useless tip. You need to put more effort to be honest :) Just my 2cents
