Oh man. I helped a Navy buddy one time, (1982), take his old crappy panhead apart; it was a basket case. Spent the night and a case of beer working on it. Wish I had it now for a project bike. Enjoyed your video fellas. Nice to see one come back to life. Fix her up nice will ya.

Guys -- that bike's a keeper. It runs. The frame is mint. The forks are just the right length. Just clean out the gas and oil tanks, make sure the brake works and then rewire the entire bike (color code wiring). If it were my bike, I'd re-chrome existing parts, or replace them with new chrome stuff. I'd also run a decent front brake. The gas tank paint should remain as-is. More than likely, it was a chipmunk that put those acorns in those drag pipes. Thanks, John, Craig, Paul, and Teddy. Ride safe!

10:22 turn the oil Container around, the pour end of the bottle will be further away from the tank but it won’t glug and you have more control over the pour. It’s why the bottle is shaped the way it is. Everyone seems to hold em backwards

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only person who is repurposed old wires. And I'm quite proud of the fact that I wired up an entire bike using just black wires but I pulled out of the wall. And years ago I learned about the best tester, just lick your fingers and start touching wires, if I was told don't be a pussy boy it won't kill you. Come to think of it though, those guys all used actual testers
