You're a life saver :) Tried this last night and it faded the stubborn purple in my hair quite a bit! Used a deep conditioning treatment right after and not experiencing any dryness at all. Will probably have to do this a couple more times to get all the purple out but such a great alternative to bleaching. Thanks!

I use dawn dish soap. I went from super dark black/blue to a light brown in less than week. washed out fast then I just did coconut oil treatment to help moisturuze

hey. it will work to help fade the colour light enough to put the red over the top. I've done it before but it didn't quite get it all out to blonde but if you just chuck the red over it once it's light enough it'll be fine. just do the first step a few times but remember to use conditioner in between applications cos it dries your hair out.

PS garnier "colour protect" shampoo will remove hair colour amazingly lol! Learned that the hard way

Surprisingly alot of colour protect shampoos contain sulphates, which help strip colour from hair, worth looking on the labels saves wasting money 👍

you look stunning with the blonde in your hair. that is my fav blonde hair dye ive been using it for over a year. it is so awesome I love it, over time and with a lot of patients it got me to a beautiful white blonde. ive got purple hair now and im in the process of stripping it out and going back to blonde because I miss it lol but I am going to keep my fringe purple. Okay, so I dyed my hair magenta on my black virgin hair without bleach, will it lighten my natural hair color to like a blondish if I do this many many times or sleep with this overnight?

***** the first step should get the magenta out, the bleach bath will definitely lighten your hair. it may go orange tho so i suggest you get some toner as well

+Cheyanne Jane Videos sooo I finally went and did this treatment and omg it made such a HUGE difference!! my hair was bleached underneath and Manic Panic Rockabilly Blue on top with MP ultraviolet at the ends. I was nervous about using it since this is a direct dye and my hair is still recovering but I was absolutely happy with the results. before the treatment, most of the purple had come out but the blue was still very vibrant. after wards most of the blue is now an icy color and the purple went all the way back to the bleach blonde. Had I not been scared to get it on my roots it probably would have all came out. I only had it on for about 7 minutes. like I said my hair is still recovering from the last bleach session so I didn't want to leave it too long. either way im in love with the results and plan on doing it again in about 2-3 weeks to get the rest out!! thank you so much for posting this vid!!!

I wouldn’t worry about the first process drying out your hair too much if you condition and treat it right afterwards. I use my argon oil hair product from Walmart mixed with Jojoba oil I got from Target. It rehydrates your hair really nicely! The mixture seemed to take out my bright purple hair color on my bleached hair when I showered. But when it dries it looked the same as before. But I’m sure it took off all that extra dye sitting on top of the hair follicle to prep for the bleach wash. I’m gonna wait until tomorrow to do the bleach wash. Report back then 🙃

Officially trying baking soda blue dawn dish soap and head and shoulders to try to get the purple rain amd aqua marine oit of my hair also have Scarlett red and poison underneath because it was a mix also with wrath.... Wish me luck lol bleach fried half my hair off so a line bob not stacked right side pretty much gone but now I have a deathhawk so it works id rather not bleach my hair ever ever again so if this method works i have you to thank! Ana R the first part you can leave in for around 45 mins, doesn't matter if it's longer than that. The bleach bath part, just watch it and wash it out when it's light enough

Anyway, I really liked your old video and I only have about 1 and a half scoops of bleach left and more than enough developer. Do you still recommend a ratio of 1 scoop of bleach to three scoops of 20 developer ?

Because anti dandruff shampoo helps strip the colour

I know this is a year later, but... Pyrithione Zinc is the "chemical" that's in Anti-dandruff shampoo that makes it different from regular shampoo. I don't know the exact science, but I know that if you are trying to keep semi permanent color then you want to avoid it at all costs!
