Silver Hair Color (Green is Impossible to Get Out of Hair!)

I found a tut that Michael James did on how to get neon color out of one's hair. He used vitamin C powder. I haven't tried it yet, but I have some pink and blue that I am getting ready to shed off :D. I'll do a response vid when I give it a go. Yeah, I got this stuff called Hair Mayonnaise and I just adore it... Though maybe real mayonnaise would do the same thing haha. It's so important to put all the nutrients back into your hair after bleaching. I'm glad your hair is back to healthy ^^.

I used Wella Color Charm in Frosty Ash. I must warn you though, it smells awful when you mix it. I suggest you use a squeeze bottle to mix it in.

try putting a ton of vitamin C powder in your shampoo. Also try washing your hair with red shampoo (it is made for taking green colors out of your hair)

Oh my O_O. You have done every trick I know of on how to get green color out of your hair... Oh wait, I do have one more idea. I've never done it, so I can't guarantee it will work. Ok, so red is the opposite of green on the color wheel. So, maybe if you mix some red dye into your shampoo then it will cancel out the green color in your hair. If that doesn't work, you might have to dye over your hair with a darker color or refresh the teal color.

I wanted my hair lavender after 3 months of having teal hair, and it was SO hard to get the color out of my hair! And for some weird reason the dye faded down my hair when I was re-bleaching a part I missed. So now I have sort of a light blue gradient on the bottom of my hair which I think I'll keep cuz it looks cool ^_^ But I think I learned my lesson about teal hair dye

Yes, do be careful. Recently I got my hair professionally colored. I thought since I was going to a dark blonde that it would be ok... but my hair got pissed at me for doing too much to it and it broke off. I ended up just cutting my hair off because it looked so crappy! I'm not sad though cuz I love my short hair, but I could see some people being very sad to have to cut their hair. Bleach really is the way to go, and if you take really good care of your hair afterwards, you will be all set. I have fucked my hair up so many times, so I know the frustration of mess ups. It looks great now though!

I had green dip dye and then wanted to go to blue, but I can't get rid of the green! My hair now sucks. I didn't know about the baking soda though so I'll try that. Really don't want to bleach though :(

I had this dark blue and black dye in my hair and I tried to go blonde in a night,4 bleachings late the blue turned past pink and the black was a dark brown,but my roots are like silver.

I dyed my hair teal a few weeks ago, now I'm trying to get it out and it's a nightmare. I've stripped it, bleached it, used vitamin c and bicarbonate of soda and it's now gone a horrible acid green colour. Do you have any more advice?!

I'm having this issue because I used Ion Brights Skyblue and it's been like, 6 Months now and it still won't go away. ;n; Its a minty green color.

so you mixed the alka seltzer with your shampoo? I'm having the same problem getting this color out of my hair. It was purple, then faded blue. I bleached it to remove color and now it's mint green so hopefully this helps thank you

Well actually, you had a really good idea with the red there. Red is the opposite of green on the color-wheel. SOOoo, in a sense you actually canceled the green color out ^^. Hehe good luck on your next color change! Oh, that's cute (abt cutting it out and keeping it). Yeah, dreads are special, I can feel ya. Good luck with your hair adventures ^^!

Oh no, that sucks! try laundry detergent and red shampoo. Someone told me that it got the color out of her hair in a jiffy... but I've learned that nothing is ever as easy as it sounds (T^T)

I had mint green hair and I used L'Oréal effasol, it's a color remover you use with warm water or 20 vol developer. Any other color remover makes it worse, its more effective and less damaging than bleach because bleach will only make the color lighter. You can only purchase L'Oréal effasol if you're a professional but I purchased mine on eBay.

It won't allow me to reply to you so I hope you get this. After another bleach and a ketchup treatment I was still left with grey green hair on the end of my hair, I end up having to dye it darker, I used a light gold brown that turned out kind of a dark dirty blonde and I'm pretty happy with the result :) golden will help cancel out the green, so your not left with the green undertones. If you could stick having the washed out colours for long enough a hair dresser advised me the green would eventually come out but there's no saying when :P

Same exact thing happened to me too. I recently cut all my hair off... but yeah, short hair is way nicer than long hair. It fits with my lifestyle so much better :D! Also, if I want long hair then I can simply pop a wig on xD

It's hard...too hard. Luckily, though, after bleaching them to a like...bright mint green, I dyed them red & now they're fine xD so I never actually got the green out, just covered it up. Wish me luck for next time I decide to change the color o_o And I agree, it's gonna be a bitch brushing out my dreads. But I plan on keeping them as long as possible and cutting out my first one to keep x3 (I only have half my hair dreaded, by the way :3)
