a easier way to strip blue/green hair is lemon juice and white conditioner or lemon juice and baking soda way easier and more effective way to remove the colors with less damage try it. it actually works.

Jessica Lewis I ended up having to dye my blue parts a copper red brown semi permanent dye I bought at Sallys. Thats after using color removal I also bought there(tiny powder packets $3.99 each you add water to make a paste) Which worked a lot to remove the blue. Became light pastel green. The red in the dye counter acts the blue/green. But every time I washed my hair it would slightly show through. so I did have to dye it that copper brown red twice. My blonde is back.

Jessica Lewis I tried the baking powder and Shampoo. It worked a lot but did dry my hair a lot. Do not bleach or anything like that.

I’m not sure if you know this by now... but Sally’s beauty supply actually has toners. So if you want to get out any brassy tones or greens and such, go to Sally’s and get the Wells’s T-18 toner, or the T-11, T-12 toner. You don’t have to mix all those different dyes.

But this was one of the better ones I have seen!!! Thank you for saying you’re not a pro and that’s just how you do it personally, and than saying if they are confused to go see a professional 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. AND THE LOW VOLUME PEROXIDE 🤟🤟🤟 so many people not doing research and using 40 volume than being confused as to why their scalp is peeling off from burns and their hair is falling off their head. If you want any tips for the future just message me!! Happy to help anytime. Just thank you for not being crazy stupid.

I know I am late to the party, so to speak but I am currently looking for the best DIY way of getting rid of my blue hair and get it to a light red brown - medium red brown... Could I just apply those shades (thinking of Ion Colour Brilliance 5R or 6R) and not do the whole red-brown-bleach again part? Since those are pretty orangy-reddish... I will spend several weeks using the dandruff shampoo and other color stripping methods BEFORE going to town on the remaining blue-green.

Yea use a permanent develoler try to go for the lightest shade of red as possibke red tones out green, and blues really well you can try ketchup to also mix alittle red dye in with the backingsoda shampoo mix so it removes and tones at the same time. Works awsome.

So I had blue that faded to green and now I want pink so if toning with a red semi dye would work the same way as like purple shampoo tones and what not... does anyone have any idea?
@kaitlinmckay99688 жыл бұрын
It does! I had the same thing happen with my blue hair fading to seaweed green. I just faded the colour as much as possible with head & shoulders with vitamin c and then used tomato sauce on my hair to tone down the green and used a magenta semi permanent colour over it :)
@margotlayne4778 жыл бұрын
+kaitlin Mckay wow amazing! I just did the dish soap and baking soda bit, and it worked a lot, there's still a little green tint. I am trying to go pink though do you think I could just put pink over it and it would be fine?
@kaitlinmckay99688 жыл бұрын
+Madison Beal you should be good to go with a pink semi dye over the green tint. As long as you're not trying to do like a pastel pink a darker shade will cover the greenish tint. Plus as a bonus, when I did a bleach bath on my pink hair to take it back to blonde, the pink dye basically toned out the leftover green left in my hair and I was able to tone it to an ash blonde. What brand of colour are you using for you pink colour?
@margotlayne4778 жыл бұрын
+kaitlin Mckay I use manic panic

Girrrl I need your advice, I wanting to go to a balyage brown to blonde - well like the shadow root you're talking about. But right now I have very faded out blue purple hair - literally so faded out it's gone a sort of mermaid colour. I'm gonna go to a professional to have it done but not for 6 weeks, any tips on what to do in the mean time to help this process, someone told me to dye my hair all blue to help with the transition, was that b.s?? Appreciate any advice you can give!
@LinzMushel6 жыл бұрын
Paula Ryan If anything, since you are going to a professional, I would not do anything to it. The less dye on your hair the easier it will be for them to color correct and give you what you want. If you really dont like the faded color you have now, I would use the same color it was so you know it will fade the same way before you get it done professionally. I hope that made sense! :P

Hi, do you know if putting a blonde hair dye pack on blue hair would work?
@zeeamor20397 жыл бұрын
Priscilla IM Hey! So if you just put blonde color on blue, it will not work because blue is darker than blonde, so you should get as much of the blue out as possible or bleach it. You can try other methods of removal, but just putting blonde onto blue will not make you blonde. You can also buy toners to help get the color you want after the blue is out of your hair. I have to go through the same thing right now. Being the stupid person I am, I didn't look at the reviews of the dye I used and I can't get this "semi-permanent" blue out of my hair and I really don't wanna bleach it. That's information you didn't need. Sorry. Anyways, good luck!
